Tudor Book Blog Book Club discussion

We have at least another week of discussions left for Winter King, but I thought it would be a good idea to start thinking about our next read. How do you guys feel about a novel?

A few people have said they enjoyed Dissolution by C.J. Sansom and I don't think anyone said they hated it, so I would like to nominate that one for our first fiction read. It has plenty of excitement and is set in a famously turbulent time.

I would love to read it! It is actually currently sitting on my bookshelf waiting to be read!

How about To Die For: A Novel of Anne Boleyn by Sandra Byrd? Otherwise Dissolution does sound good.

Dissolution sounds like a good choice! A coworker recommended it but I never got around to it. I have some serious catching up to do with our current book choice!

I enjoyed Samson's books - Dissolution included. If that is the book selected I will follow with the discussion and continue on to my next book, The Tudor Conspiracy. Enjoy!

I love all the Shardlake series, so Dissolution sounds great. I would like to suggest Wolf Hall for a future read.

It looks like Dissolution is our winner! I will write up a post about it, but go ahead and start getting your books!

However, I definitely second Wolf Hall for the future!

Listened to the R4 Bookclub podcast on "Bring up the Bodies" today and I know I will want to re-read that and "Wolf Hall" before the third book in the trilogy is published.

Which one is first in the series? Wolf Hall or Bring up the Bodies?

Wolf Hall is the first. I have it, but haven't read it yet :( From what I've heard about it, I think it would be a great one for this group!

They are both excellent - but so is Dissolution. Some great reads coming up :)

First time I have joined a virtual book club, excited to do so.

I picked up Dissolution in a charity shop yesterday, so I'm in :) will be my first book club! x

I got Dissolution at the weekend for my Kindle so I'm ready to go. Hoping I have time to read this one as I'm very behind on The Winter King although I will keep on with it!
