A World Without Sun discussion

Emily rushed to them, "whats going on?"
"Shes pregnant and losing the baby," salon stated, holding Robin's hand, "save it," she ordered, not caring what it took.
"The easiest way would be to clone it..."
"Save this baby!" Salon hissed.
Emily nodded and put Robin to sleep.

When robin woke up, salon was sitting in a chair next to the bed.

Robin focused on Salon, "The baby...." Let it have lived. Please.

Salon nodded, "he's okay," she looked hesitant, not sure how to tell her that the baby wasn't all human. It didn't have a human heart... It had the same type of heart as Salon.

Robin smiled relieved. He. She had a boy. She noticed Salon's face, "What's wrong?"

She bit her lip, "he... Isn't normal... Emily couldn't save his heart, and a transplant.... He would have died before they could find a heart... So she had to put one like mine in..."

She frowned and sat up, "What does that mean? H-he's not human? He's like you?"

Salon looked Robin's face over, "I'm so sorry...." She took a breath, "he's still mostly human..."

Robin closed her eyes painfully, "c-can I see him?"

She nodded and went across the room. She rolled the incubator with the small baby over, "they tried getting some of the pills into you to speed up his development.. But they didn't have a big time window, so he'll be in this for a few weeks.."

Robin gaped at the baby, not sure what to say.

Salon sat again and looked away, feeling guilty.

"What happened to his leg?" She asked staring at the metal there.

"It wasn't done developing... The splint is temporary," salon explained, "but he could have it for a wile, still."

Robin bit her lip and pressed her hand to the glass watching her baby. How was she going to tell Logan?

Salon watched Robin sadly, "I'm sorry Robin," she said again, her guilt making her feel heavy.

"Better than him being dead...."

She nodded, "Arin and logan will be getting home soon..."

"I have to tell them..." She said sadly, she hoped they would be oky with it. Was she okay with it?

Salon took her phone out, "do you want to call logan so he knows where you are?"

Robin nodded and took her phone and dialed Logan.

Logan answered after a few rings, "hello?"

"Logan. Have you picked up Arin yet?" She asked hoping he couldn't tell something was wrong.

"I'm just waiting out front of the school, why? What's wrong?"

She bit her lip and explained everything that happened to Logan, trying to keep herself from crying.

"I'll be there in ten," he stated, his tone flat and not giving anything away.

"Okay." Robin said and hung up. She hugged herself tightly, "This is all my fault."

"No it's not, Robin," salon assured her softly.

"All I had to do was carry him and stay healthy and I couldn't." She shook her head.

"There isn't anything you could have done," she insisted.

"You don't know that.... Logan probably hates me."

She shook her head, "I doubt that."

She bit her lip and went back to looking back at her son.

Logan came into the room some time latter and went strait to Robin, pulling her into a hug after taking a seat next to her on the bed.
Salon went to the hall to watch Arin.

Robin whimpered and hid her face in Logan's shirt, "I'm so sorry!" she cried.

Arin looked up at Salon, "Is mommy okie?" Her daddy hadn't told her way they were here.

Logan rocked with her, rubbing her back, "shh, it's okay," he whispered softly.

Salon brought Arin to a set of chairs, "she'll be okay."

Robin sobbed and clung to her husband, "I just didn't want him to die."

"Promise?"

"I know Robin, I know," he whispered, "I would have done the same."

Salon nods, "I promise."

She sniffed and looked up at him sadly. "What if he can experience feelings?" It had even took Salon awhile to do it.

Arin nodded and sat in a chair.

"We'll get threw this," logan pulled back to look her face over, "I promise."

Robin nodded and jumped up when she heard the baby start crying.

Logan looked at the baby, "are we aloud to take care of him?"

"I-I don't know." She said wishing she could hold her pre-me cyborg baby to help calm him down.

LogN watched the baby for a few seconds longer before taking him out of the incubator, "he needs his mother," he stated.

Robin took the baby and cradled him close, "What if its bad for him to be out of it.?"

He shook his head, "don't think about that."

She bit her lip and nodded. She focused on the baby, "What should we name him?"

Logan watched Robin a bit more then the boy, more worried about her, "not sure. Tron?" He tried joking lightly.

Robin smiled a little, "Tron?"

He ruled the back of his head, "Ya... Maybe not.." He hoped he hadn't hurt her feelings.

"It okay Logan." She didn't want to think of the teasing it would cause the boy later in life.
