Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

Just curious as this book isn't published yet and I'm busy doing the pre-release marketing.

When does it show up on my home page along with the current one? Is it after a review is posted for it or does it have to be added manually?

Am I misunderstanding your question?

A book appears on the author page almost as soon as it is added, subject to caching updates etc.

It is on the author page, but when I go to my own "home" page, it is not on the top right where my other book is. See screen capture below.

Normally these things are down to the caching issues I mentioned above but I notice that the book has been on Goodreads for over a month so that is not likely to be the problem. We librarians never have dealings with the author dashboard but I am wondering if that entry on your homepage only includes the top book on your list. There is a link to go to the dashboard so perhaps only one book will ever appear there as a teaser.

A staff member might have more info or you could ask in the "Goodreads Author Feedback Group"

As I said, we librarians never have dealings with the author dashboard so I cannot answer that. If you have that option then it should be fairly obvious. If you can't see it then I would say 'Not'. The Goodreads Author Feedback Group I mentioned above deal with dashboards and suchlike all the time 'cos they are also authors.
