Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 369 comments I'm not sure if we have one..I searched and searched..I found a baking one. But if there is one..you can just delete this!

But I think we should have a thread to share our favorite recipes...dinners, desserts, etc.

I'm just starting to like cooking..I hate the cleaning up part..so I'd love some good recipes to test out on my boyfriend and family!

Mandy (mettakaruna) Jamie, you just made me smile. I needed that tonight. =)

Here's a link that could give you access to all of those recipes. My favorite is the Flank Steak with Garlic Wine Sauce. (It tastes great with chicken too) My true love is cooking, reading a close second. I have so many recipes....just not that many published. ;)

Lori Walker Mandy Sue, I'm so glad you gave us a link with all of your recipes. My mouth was watering as I read the list, but I didn't want to be greedy and ask for like 5 recipes. Anyway, thank you!

message 10: by Mandy (new)

Mandy (mettakaruna) Lori ~ If you make any of them, let me know what you think. =)

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 369 comments Sweet! Thank you! I'm so excited to cook some of these! My boyfriend will be excited too for sure..as well as my stepdad. If I don't cook..he ends up eating hot dogs or something for a week straight.

haha Lori..I felt greedy too..but then I realized I couldn't even pick 2 or 3 of them to ask for! :)

Thauna..I'm going downstairs in 2.5 minutes to get that recipe before I forget! :)

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 369 comments Very Simple Tuna Noodle Casserole:

Ingredients:

1 can (6 1/2 ounces)water packed tuna fish
1 can (8 3/4 ounces) green peas, or 3/4 cup frozen peas
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
3 cups cooked noodles

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Drain tuna and put in bowl. Then break into small pieces with a fork.
3. Strain peas and put them in bowl if you are using the canned kind. (I used frozen).
4. Open the soup and pour contents into casserole dish. Begin to stir. Stir in milk a little at a time.
5. Add the tuna, peas, and noodles to the casserole and stir everything.
6. Bake for 30 minutes.

Serves 4.

I put cheese on top of it when it had ten minutes left to go and that tasted good. There's a bunch of things you could add to this simple recipe. It's good for picky eaters! Also, it said to use 1 1/2 quart casserole dish..and I did..but I felt like it was really small. Everything else we had was way too big. I mean..it worked out..but I felt like it was so small. Next time I would probably double the recipe so we could have leftovers. 3 of us ate the whole thing in one sitting.

Thauna Jamie, I'm going to try that recipe on my daughter.

Mandy Sue, thank you for sharing your recipes...can't wait to try a few of them!

If my daughter got to pick, we would live on hamburgers/mac n' cheese, sloppy joes, and fish sticks. Oh and of course, fast food. I need all the cheap, easy, picky-eater recipes I can find! lol

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 369 comments I hope she likes it! My sister hates tuna..but I made her try it..and she liked it! She picked around some of the bigger tuna pieces..but she really did like it.

Rose (roseo) My favorite easy summer (instead of hamburgers) sandwich recipe.
From Allrecipes.com
My id "1/2 fast cook" ha-ha

BarBQ Pork for sandwiches:

INGREDIENTS
1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
3 pounds boneless pork ribs (make sure it's boneless or you must hunt for tiny bone slivers, yuk)
barbeque sauce
1 Bay leaf

DIRECTIONS
Pour can of beef broth, bay leaf into slow cooker, and add boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4 hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, drain the crockpot and shred pork with two forks. It will seem that it's not working right away, but it will.
Transfer the shredded pork to the warm crock pot and stir in barbeque sauce,
cook until heated through or keep warm.

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 369 comments Oh that sounds excellent! I think my boyfriend might really like that!

All these recipes are going to fatten me up! :)

Rose (roseo) Hey Mandy Sue, I would like the recipe for "Unbelievable Fried Zucchini", YUM!

Also, Jamie the Allrecipes.com site is GREAT! It's made up of regular people posting their recipes. Simple, easy and people give their ratings after they try the recipe. Check it out!

Katie (katieisallbooked) | 319 comments I can't wait to check out those recipes, Mandy Sue!

I have a cooking blog at http://shabbychicgourmet.blogspot.com. It hasn't been updated for a while, but I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things very soon. The recipes aren't original. They're just my reviews of things I've found and sometimes modified.

Lol, I had to use the "search" engine when you go into the archives in the right hand column! I couldn't find it at first either!

Here's a great related thread I remembered: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/3... It's a name a fav author you'd love to have a dinner date with & what the dinner would be! (Which resulted in the recipes thread I found above).
