Cynthia Armistead Newman (technomom) | 159 comments I came over to look at the group tonight, clicked to view the Unread messages, as usual - and thought y'all had all succumbed to hypergraphia because of all the unread messages! As I started to try to read them, though, I quickly found that the system was having issues. For instance, some items posted two years ago were being noted as 10 minutes ago. Basically, EVERYTHING was unread.

I check this group at least once a day, read the new messages, and then hit "mark as read" to be sure I'll just see new stuff on my next visit (otherwise, the place is overwhelming). I haven't been able to find whatever I *should* be reading tonight because of this oddity. Is it a server date issue? It can't be a caching thing on my end, because I clear the cache every time I close my browser.

Thanks,
Cyn

It's because of Otis' account being restored. Every thread he ever posted in will shows up as new.

Just click mark all read and they'll go away.
