Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) What is the oddest 'tool' you've used in your practice or a spell.

message 2: by Mawgojzeta (new)

Mawgojzeta Magazine advertisement cutouts would be my oddest.

message 3: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) What do you use them for?

I would say rub on tattoos are mine.

message 4: by Mawgojzeta (new)

Mawgojzeta If an ad evokes a certain feeling (the color, the setting, the person) I will cut it out and keep it for spellwork. Maybe a model is dressed to seem really animalistic and I am doing something along those lines. Or, I want a peaceful focal point for a meditation focus. Or, the picture includes items in it I could use as metaphors for some paper-burning spell - I will write onto the advertisement key words below the different items on it.

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) That's a great idea.

message 6: by Ancestral (new)

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) Some people find it odd I use blood. Does that count?

message 7: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) I think it's common...but that might just be me.

message 8: by Ancestral (new)

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) I thought it quite common, too, but I was surprised by comments I got from others. Then again, I've also had comments about using things I find in the gutter, on the street, or in the woods.

message 9: by Mawgojzeta (new)

Mawgojzeta I would think it would not be uncommon, Ancestral, so I guess I am suprised, too. Especially if the response was from women: one would think a woman would (at some point and under some circumstances) see the benefit of menstrual blood in ritual/spellwork.

n they give me as much support as possibul :D

message 13: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) You are very lucky

message 14: by Leannear24 (new)

Leannear24 yhea i read that other people have not been sp lucky
what about u?

message 15: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) My family isn't pagan. One half is LDS (mormon) and the other isn't anything at all. I don't get a lot of encouragement in my interests or beliefs but I also don't get harassed for them, so it's not too bad.

message 16: by Leannear24 (new)

Leannear24 if u say so
okay

message 17: by Christy (new)

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) Any day you aren't getting harassed is a good day.

message 18: by Leannear24 (new)

Leannear24 yhea
i gess

message 19: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (ravenacres) Okay, so I wouldn't call them tools, but I have a circle out in the pasture. So, if I have a fire going and am out there, the goats, horse and cows join in. Definately brings up more energy.
