Any suggestions on what to do with ARC copies? Friends, libraries - non takers. Would be great if we swapped books, but based on lack of participation in this group it would just be another futile effort. Yeah...sarcasm is my middle name

Janet (janetfitch) | 11 comments I give them to the library for their book sales. Also, I have one of those "little libraries" in my neighborhood (basically a box on a post), that people leave books and take books away. Students usually love getting the ARCs as their chances of buying new hard bounds are nil. And frankly, leaving them behind markets where homeless people gather is a service to mankind.

Carolyn (seeford) You can swap it at PaperbackSwap or just release it in the wild using BookCrossing....

Mimi V (naomi_v) | 5 comments thanks, Mal, for the clarification. How does somebody get such a thing?

Ottilie (ottilie_weber) | 14 comments Usually authors send out on their blogs or on goodreads or somewhere that they need reviewers of an upcoming book. I've done some of that in the past I think netgallary is a site or something like that too where non-indie authors post that stuff.

No problem Naomi, I'm glad you asked. Lots of ways to get ARC's. you can enter the giveaways on here GR First Reads - a majority of the books are ARC's and of course some are first copies. Check out Haaave Ya Met - there is a folder for both ARC's and BETA readers. Also the group Good Reviews. You can contact publishing houses with a letter expressing your interest. Lots of authors on GR reach out and ask if you'll review their ARC. So many ways my friend. That's a start....if you need more help email me, glad to assist.
