Let's see...
On behalf of Eileen, I'll nominate Wolves and Witches since she missed the cutoff last time.
On behalf of .... someone, I forget who, I'll nominate Krampus: The Yule Lord by Brom, since this group read will take us through Christmas.
On my own behalf, how about Beastly by Alex Flinn for YA and The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly for adults?

I nominate The Fox Woman by Kij Johnson for the adult read. It seems like a good autumn book to read (for some reason I associate foxes with fall.
Also The Poets' Grimm: 20th Century Poems from Grimm Fairy Tales for adult read. I try to read a collection of poems at least every other month, and I need one for November. Not sure if anyone else is interested in poetry though.
For YA, The Thorn and the Blossom by Theodora Goss. I've enjoyed several of her short stories.

There are a lot of good suggestions already! Several like The Fox Woman and The Book of Lost Things have be on my to-read list for awhile now, but I will still suggest some more titles.
For Y A The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker looks interesting and since I have been reading Arabian Nights I have been wanting to read more about Jinn.
Another book I have been wanting to read for some time is Waking the Moon by Elizabeth Hand, but I was not sure if it would qualify as having a Fairy Tale in it, but I think there is some Mythology.

I liked Waking the Moon when I read it last year. It does indeed have some mythology in it. Not sure what pagan rituals and goddesses were made up and what were real, though.
The Fox Woman is an absolutely beautiful book.

I nominateEllen Kushner's The Golden Dreydl. It's really pretty.

Thanks for pointing that out Julia! I guess I just assumed it was!
I think I'll go ahead and order everything that's been suggested! It all looks good!

YA is tied at the moment! Someone -- cast a tie breaker vote! It's between Beastly and The Thorn and the Blossom at the moment. If you're one of the two who voted for The Golden Dreydl, remember you can change your vote if you like and break the tie as well.
The Golem and the Jinni won the adult book read. Chris pointed out that The Book of Lost Things was already a group read a few years ago before many if us joined. I bumped up the old thread just in case any of you plan on reading it and want to discuss it. I plan on reading both books thus month.

SOON! Soon I can experience the joy you guys are experiencing :) xoxo
Yuck... 22 people on the library hold list for 2 copies of The Golem and the Jinni. That's nearly a 6 month wait! Guess I'll be reading this with a physical copy.
BTW, all you guys who have started it and liking it... it's nominated in the Debut Goodreads Authors section of the yearly awards. Go vote!

Melanti, it is worth it! There were something like 80 in my library cue hold. I am trying not to buy any more books, but I relented and bought this one and am so happy I did. It is so good for so many reasons but will save that once our thread is up. Thanks for letting me know about the awards!

Sorry, meant to say that there was 22 holds on the ebook version! There's only 2 holds on 6 copies of the hardback, so it shouldn't take more than a couple of weeks to get.

Ah, but The Ocean at the End of the Lane and a couple other great books are in the running for the fantasy award too.
In the debut authors category, I hadn't read a single one.
