Sean O'Hara (seanohara) | 2365 comments Good news, everybody! Adult Swim just announced that they'll be premiering the new series by Cowboy Bebop director Shinichiro Watanabe in January. And by "premiering" they mean that episodes will air in the US, with English dubs, before they air in Japan.

There's a short preview here, but even better is the swanky music video for the opening theme

A friend of mine was at the Otakon panel where he talked about it. I think I was in line for something else, and wish I had gone to the panel instead.

The last anime I remember premiere in the US first is Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, and that was ages ago.

Now I'm seeing it's actually going to be simulcast.

Intrigued because I love Cowboy Bebop and because...Space!

Hmm, I don't have cable - how good/swift is Adult Swim about putting stuff online?

Funimation will be streaming it, and they usually put their stuff on Hulu as well.
