Bree (breezybaby) | 144 comments What books are coming out soon/have just come out that you are totally psyched about? Or what book are you waiting for from a series that is coming out soon?

The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane just came out recently and I'm excited to read it!

I bought the Sorceress last week, and still haven't started it. I read the first two a few months ago, and was waiting (im)patiently for this realease and now that I have it, I have others I am making myself finish first. :)

message 4: by Janet (new)

Janet I'm excited for the 5th Megan McCafferty book, Perfect Fifths A Novel. I haven't read the 4th one, which I will, and I am waiting for the 5th one to come out on paper back. I love that series!

I used to love the Sloppy First series as well, but after re-reading it last year and reading the fourth book, I fell out of love with it. The fourth book moves in a different direction, I guess a natural one, but one that I didn't really love. I'm hesitant to read the fifth one. But if you do, post a review! I'm curious to see what someone else thinks!

message 6: by Anna (new)

Anna Shumaker (annashu) I like Dan Brown and had didn't know he had a new book coming out. I'm excited now though thanks!

message 7: by Justine (new)

Justine (paperbackheart) Jess, I thought Perfect Fifths was really good and followed the natural progression of all the relationships. It might not have been everything I wanted or expected, but it was definitely nice to have some closure.

That's helpful. Maybe I'll pick it up next time I see it at the library - it's been a while, and I'm hoping for something a bit different from the fourth book. Thanks!

message 9: by Melissa (new)

Melissa | 279 comments I am waiting for Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning it comes out August 18. This is the fourth book in her Fever series.

message 10: by Kelsey (new)

Kelsey Baguinat (kelseybaguinat) I just recently read The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and really enjoyed it!
I am beyond excited for the second book in the Kingkiller Chronicles. The first was The Name of the Wind, and it was amazing. I never thought I'd get anywhere near as excited for anything other than Harry Potter again in my life, but this comes closer than anything else has thus far...

I've always wanted to read Irving. Apparently he's going to be at the B&N in NYC in the near future..probably to promote the new book.

Especially after the last line in Catching Fire (I think it was the last line...I know it was at least the last page).

message 21: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (readerandwriter) Julie Anne Peters has got a book coming out in January. I already pre-order it. The book is called "By The Time You Read This, I'll Be Dead". It sounds like a good book.

As most of you know, I absolutely LOVE the book Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer..so when I saw that he has a book coming out in NOVEMBER..i got kind of excited. I thought it was going to be a novel..however it looks a little bit different. I am excited nonetheless. So here it is: Eating Animals

The fourth book (The Necromancer) of the series by Michael Scott is due out May 2010 and book 3 of the Hunger Games series is due out August 2010.

So long to wait! :(

message 26: by Jen (new)

Jen (wishesandwanderlust) | 696 comments I can't wait for the third book of the Hunger Games either! August is so far away! I hope they start releasing some information about the book soon...like a title.

message 29: by Ashley (last edited Dec 10, 2009 08:24AM) (new)

Ashley (readerandwriter) I'm looking forward to "Spirit Bound" by Richelle Mead. It's the next book in the Vampire Academy series. I think it comes out next year. I thought this would be just another typical vampire series but this has actually become my second favorite vampire series.

The Girl That Kicked the Hornet's Nest is due out in June.

Follows the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and the Girl Who Played With Fire.

message 31: by Alessia (new)

Alessia (allieonthemoon) I thought it was already out...it says so here on goodreads

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest

message 32: by Tami (new)

Tami | 3103 comments Mod
That is wierd. Barnes & Noble said June. Oh, wait, just checked now it says May 2010, but the cover is different. And the paperback is still showing June, but no picture of the cover.

message 33: by Alessia (last edited Dec 11, 2009 04:01PM) (new)

Alessia (allieonthemoon) mistery solved: it's already out in the UK edited by Maclehose Press. In the US it will be out as hardcover on May 24 , edited by Knopf(but you can find it in Kindle edition)

message 34: by Chrissie (new)

Chrissie | 58 comments I'll be reading that Megan McCafferty book as well. The third book is what really annoyed me; the fourth one made a lot more sense.

message 35: by Laurie (new)

Laurie I excited for the release of Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. It doesn't come out until the end of May though.

Laurie--How many books are in that series? I've heard good things!

message 37: by Laurie (new)

Laurie They are really good there are nine that are published. Dead in the Family is the tenth in the series. I read all nine in a week. :)

Oh my gosh! That's awesome! lol Are they pretty short or are they long?

message 39: by Laurie (new)

Laurie They're around 300 pages each. I don't know how quickly you can read, but they didn't take me long to finish.

Jamie (The Perpetual Page-Turner) (perpetualpageturner) | 4407 comments Mod
In general, I read pretty quickly but it tends to depend on how interesting I find the book.

message 41: by Lynnie (new)

Lynnie I just finished Jen Lancaster's Such a Pretty Fat the other day and I saw via goodreads that she's going to have a new book later this year. I'm foggy on the details, but it seems to be about her trying to quit her reality tv addiction (which I confess to being a bit addicted to as well!). I'm looking forward to it!

Laurie wrote: "I excited for the release of Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. It doesn't come out until the end of May though."

I was a big fan of this series! But I was not all that thrilled with the last book. I think I was anticipating it way too much. I will reread it again before the release of the tenth book, I don't remember it much- maybe I will like it better this time around. Can't to see how it works with Sookie and her new relationship ;) I love him!!

message 47: by Daisy (new)

Daisy | 686 comments Am not so patiently awaiting the release of that one either, the release date here says august 24 (so easy for me to remember, since it's one of my best friend's birthday). I don't know if any of you have read The Name of the Wind? I loved it and am very much hoping the second book will come out in May like it says here. And the sequel to Brisingr.. Can't find a release date anywhere though.. And I'm eagerly following the blog of a writer whose story I loved on FictionPress, waiting for her to get published (if she does, I'm spamming everyone, since it was already amazing when it was a rough draft).

Daisy | 686 comments It's so weird you all have to wait for that book, since it's been out in Holland for over half a year!
