Eva | 22 comments The book I'm looking for is about a girl who grows up in some kind of an institute for 'special people'. Everybody there is being brainwashed; thinking they're special and made to help the other people. Basically they are just trained to be slaves/maids. The girl breaks out of this place (along with a boy, I think?). Her parents are in some sort of underground group that fights the regime. I remember more scenes but I don't want to give spoilers. I believe the book was written like a diary. I don't think I remember anything about the cover. It probably showed something dark and abstract.

Edit: it's plot was pretty obvious - this was a book written for teens/kids
