I am really looking forward to this to find some new books to read.

If you can start yours today, you might get a jump start on owning property. :)

I think I will be reading:

(A Betty Neels Romance just have to pick because they are all rich guy poor girl.)

My brother-in-law always said he would be happy to be the house husband and let my sister work when they had kids. He lasted a month when my nephew was born. He lasted a couple of years when my niece was born, but I think it was just because it was cheaper than day care while my sister's optometry practice gained clients.
I don't have kids, but I am very appreciative of what my mother went through staying home with us until we were in high school after a day spent with my niece and nephew.

Good choices Ezi keeps telling me to read On dublin Street. I'm not sure what I'll read yet.

I loved this book. "There was something electric between us, and it was really confusing being this angry and this turned on all at the same time."(loc 3112) This quote sums up the electric chemistry between the Joss and Braden really well. They couldn't seem to keep away from each other even when they were angry and feeling betrayed. There was always tension when they were in a room together from the moment they first met.
I liked this book because there was a plot with sublevels to go along with the chemistry between the characters. The story flowed well and the characters were not perfect, but had their own troubles to work through on their own as well as together. I do think that some of the issues were probably worked through much faster than would have realistically happened but it fit well with the pace of the story. I also got caught up in the secondary storyline with Ellie and Adam and what would happen between them.

Roll: 10
End: Chance
Roll: 3 - Read a book that scares you
This might take me a bit to read, I don't usually read scary books. If I can get it tomorrow from my libray system, I think I am going to try:

Eek I don't like books that scare me.

Book - The Quiet Professor by Betty Neels

Review
Megan’s life is perfect she’s engaged to a young doctor, she enjoys her job working as a nurse, and she recently acquired a flat of her own away from the other nurses. Yet everything changes on the trip home to introduce her family to her fiancé Oscar. He falls head over heels in love with her shy younger sister. At first Megan just assumes he’s being nice spending time with her family but when the truth comes out she finds she’s not as disappointed by the news as she thought. Her heart is cracked but not broken like any other women who had found out her fiancé had fallen in love with another woman.
Megan has the attention of Professor Jake van Belfield a pathology professor she just doesn’t realize that he’s in love with her. After all he’s a little older quiet, a successful professor what would he see in her. As the professor goes out of his way to visit her, even offering her a chance to work in Holland at an orphanage giving her a much needed change. Megan sees the professor as being very kind and helpful but her mother is sure that he’s in love with her daughter. Will Megan figure out the truth?
I love Megan she’s a strong character not your typical skinny blonde but a real woman with curves. She’s a nurse working in a tough hospital but doesn’t let the laundry guy get the best of her. Even after her engagement ends she handles it better than most. Who doesn’t love a knight in shiny Rolls Royce rolling into save the day. I love the professor he’s just so dreamy and he cares dearly for Megan it’s so sweet.
I’ve been a fan of Betty Neels since I was a teenager thanks to my grandmother leaving me a few boxes of books when she passed away. She left me a good 40 of her books all of which I’ve read before long ago. When I needed a rich character the first to come to mind are the men of Betty Neels books, the girl are always poorer struggling type. They feel like real characters that get a happy ever after. The Quiet Professor is a Harlequin so it’s a fast paced quick sweet romance novel. These books always make me crave toast and tea it’s because of them I’ve become such a tea drinker. Anyway I love the characters, love the sweet unsuspecting romance and just love all of her books. These are perfect for a quick afternoon read. Of course I plan to read this as well as the rest of her books again.

Space: Chance- red a book that scares you

Read 11/2/13 - 1 star
I really don't like scary books and this one was creepy. It had super-enhanced soldiers going after citizens with no consequences whatsoever. The book seemed very disjointed to me and was mainly a collection of scenes from all over the area and not enough of a central plot line holding everything together until the end. Also really didn't like the ending.

Start: Chance
Roll: 3
Space: B&O Railroad - read a book someone else thinks stinks

Aislinn has always seen the faeries but never let on that she can see them. Since she was a child her Gram trained her to avoid them not draw attention to herself. She doesn’t know her father and her mother died in childbirth so Gram has been her rock. Aislinn isn’t along she has a friend who’s been a very good friend named Seth he’s been there for her when she needed him but things have started to heat up. Suddenly Aislinn has the attention of a stranger who’s intent on being more than just friends he’s determine to make her his.
As Aislinn is haunted by Keenan she decides to reveal that she can see the faeries if nothing more than to make them go away. As she is pushed deeper into their world she learns that Keenan is the Summer King hunting for his Summer Queen who will help him save his people. Aislinn doesn’t want anything to do with Keenan but as she learns the truth she will be given the choice that will change her life as well as everyone else. Will she become one of Keenan’s summer girls, replace Donia or become to true Queen?
At first I was frustrated by Aislinn but the more I got to know her more I grew to like her. I love how she owns her own destiny; she grows a lot from the girl in the beginning of the book. I love characters that grow through the story. At first I wasn’t sure about Kennan but as the book progressed and we learned more about his motives I found myself cheering him on. I also really liked Donia’s character I found her interesting.
I've had this one on my to read list for a while because I've got a weakness for faeries but never got around to it. The book started a little slow in part because there was a decent amount of building but by 15 percent in I was sold it was hard to put down if not for sleep I would have stayed up all night reading. The concept is unique it reminds me a little of another faery tale but I like how the author has put her own unique touches in the story. I liked the characters some better than others but the y all enhance the story. The author has written a captivating book that mixes the faeries and humans using the sign as a way to bridge the two. I’m curious to check out the rest of the series, I’m bad but I read the synopsis of the next books. What can I say I've been known to read the last chapter first before. This is my first book by Melissa Marr but I plan to check out her other books.

Roll: 7 to chance - card 6 sent to jail

Harry Potter came to live with the Dursleys as an infant after his parents died. He’s spent the last ten years being treated poorly by both Mr. & Mrs. Dursley and their spoiled rotten son Dudley. Harry’s life starts to change when he receives mail but it’s snapped up by Mr. Dursley. When they see who the letters are from they attempt to keep them from Harry even dragging him away from their home. On his eleventh birthday while away from home Harry is startled awake by a strange visitor named Hagrid who tells him all about who he really is.
As Harry embarks on the adventure of a lifetime, everything will be different from the last ten years and it won’t be easy/. Harry makes new friends in Gryffindor’s house where the magic hat as assigned him. Together with his two new close friends the trio are not only tasked with school but with trying to figure out what is hiding behind Hagrid’s dog fluffy. Not only does Harry learn about magic but he also learns about his past and who his parents are even uncovering a magic mirror. Everything isn’t all good something dark is lurking still intent on getting at Harry Potter. Will they solve the mystery and save Harry?
I liked Harry granted he’s only 11 but his character doesn’t come off as a child he’s easy to connect with filled with courage and I couldn’t help wanting to cheer him on. I liked his friends however Hermione got on my nerves with her know it all. I just wanted to strangle her a few times. However when I mentioned this to my hubby he promised that she will get better as the books progress. I loved to hate Draco as well he’s such a pain.
I decided to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone for two reasons. My hubby has been harping on me to read it for ages even though I’ve seen the movie and it was perfect for my monopoly game. The characters are engaging and easy to connect with you can’t help cheering them on. The author has created a unique concept by putting her own twist on the boarding school loaded with magic. I’ve not read many witch/wizard books but this one was really good. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was a fast read I just had to find the time to sit down and read. I like the book it’s well written and flows along smoothly so kids as well as adults will enjoy the story. I watched the movie right after the only difference I noticed was how the ending was different but I think they did a really great job of making the movie match the book. Plus it had dragons!!!! I’m looking forward to reading the next one. I know my hubby is as well.

Roll Dice
Monopoly Rules
• You do not need to wait for the other player to finish reading before you take your next turn. As soon as you're done reading, go ahead and roll.
• Each property is represented by a shelf. For each grouping of shelves/properties you would read a certain amount of books from that shelf. Once you finish the amount of books you would then “Own” that shelf.
• If you land on an “owned” shelf you would have to read a certain amount of books above what the owner had to read.
• If one person “owns” all of the books in a group (think Mediterranean and Baltic) and another player lands on their properties they would be able to recommend at least one of the books that the player has to read.
• Utilities – For the Electric Company – Read a book where the characters have electric chemistry. For Water Works – Read a book that makes you cry. Books have to be 150 pages or more.
• If a player lands on an “Owned” utility, then the owner will recommend a book with electric chemistry or that makes them cry.
• Railroads – For Reading Railroad – Read whatever you want. For Pennsylvania Railroad – Read a book set in Pennsylvania. For B&O Railroad – Read a book that someone else thought stunk. For Short Line – Read a novella. Page minimum 150 for all but Short Line. 25 page minimum for the novella.
• If a player lands on an “owned” railroad, the owner will recommend a book for that specific railroad.
• Chance and Community Chest – there are 12 cards for each. If a player lands on one of those spots they will roll the dice a second time and then would “pull” the corresponding card and do whatever it says on the card. Once a card is used, it will be out of play unless needed to finish the game. Books for this would need to be at least 150 pages.
• Being in Jail – To get out of jail you would need to have one of the get out of jail free cards, roll doubles on one of your next three turns or read a book where a character is arrested or has been in jail. Books for this would need to be 150 pages or more.
• Just Visiting – Read a novella of your choice, 50 page minimum
• Free Parking – Read any book 100 pages or more
• Go – Read any book of 200 pages or more
• Luxury Tax/Income Tax – Read a book with a rich character, a really poor character or someone that works in a bank. 150 pages or more
• Each roll, you'll post your starting spot, the roll and your new spot on the board.
• When you finish your book you'll post the spot your on, book name, rating, when it was finished and a short review of the book. If you were supposed to read a book that had a specific element (water works utility, book that made you cry), then please mention that in the review.
• Re-reads are allowed.
