176 Shelves
One add for each thanks Slayermel"
You have hit the spot where there is nothing more frustrating then the one shelf per one book add ;op

I only am listing books that add shelves to this list, do we also list books that don't add shelves that we have read?
Thanks

Personally, I've only listed books that add shelves. But either way is fine, because when it comes down to it the only totals that really matter for the challenge are the shelves.

The spreadsheet really makes a big difference, it's so much easier to keep track :0)
Man - I am falling way behind. I have got to start reading some books here. Just picked up Grapes of Wrath and Robinson Crusoe, so maybe those will help. :(

22 books
Milly the shelves that we are referring to are listed under the thread Shelf a Thon Round 2. The rules of the challenge are posted there as well.

I would love to know why someone came up with that, and why others use it as well, as there are quite a lot of books on those types of shelves. :0)
I also hit that shelf by mistake and was quite excited since there is absolutely no indication of what the criteria for that shelf is. Is there any way to call up the shelf and see what you might want to read that is on it? Maybe there is something there that will be a quick read.

The "-" shelf is listed on page 2
Hope that helps

The shelf I'm wondering about is "a." Someone must have had a bunch of books shelved as "a" and then removed them because now there are only 272 books on that shelf and only five of the 272 have been shelved more than once. Makes it difficult to touch that shelf!

I wondered the same thing Luann - not much to choose from this time.

And put a variety of books on it that I want to read - and make sure that shelf will show up in the first 5 pages of shelves for those books. :)
What we need is a book that is so new, that it is not that popular yet so it has only a few shelves, one of them being the "a" shelf. We should all put our heads together and come up with a book and put it there. :)

I have been reading quite a bit of science fiction and have gotten all the shelves except "science fiction" without the hyphen. When I search for this shelf it brings up "science-fiction" I am unable to get it to do science fiction without the hyphen. Could it be that there are none of these shelves and the hyphen is automatically added, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!

I'm not sure which shelf you are talking about, Roseann. Is it "sciencefiction" or "science-fiction"? Spaces aren't allowed in the shelf names, so even when you create a shelf with a space, the system automatically adds a hyphen for you in that space. So in the two shelves I listed, the first one has no space between the words, and the second one has a hyphen.

Weird, I guess my computer "corrected" the one that was sciencefiction by separating it into two words. Guess I've got another shelf somewhere then.
