I know a lot of you are giving National Novel Writing Month a go.

http://nanowrimo.org has some great collaboration tools, but I thought I'd set up a thread here to coordinate some of the SL group efforts going on!

Shelina | 0 comments I'm here too! You can find me in the forums as Chillytv. Can't wait to start so I'm outlining.

Gordon McLeod (mcleodg) | 348 comments You can find my profile at http://nanowrimo.org/participants/mcl... if we're not already writing buddies. I'll be taking part for sure; this will be my fourth NaNo in a row, and hopefully my third win in a row. I don't think I've ever looked at the forums before though.

I'm writing a humorous sci-fi almanac style book.
The title (for now) is "Get to Work, Human Scum: A Friendly Guide for the Newly Unfrozen."

Shaline Lopez | 42 comments I'm shalinel over there. This is my first year trying NaNoWriMo and the anticipation is really starting to stress me out, but I believe in my idea, and I usually write more productively under a sharp deadline. I'm excited to see what I can do!

Don't stress too badly, if you love what you are writing its not too bad. Just don't spend all your time editing! It feels awesome to win. My profile is http://nanowrimo.org/participants/jaz...

Andrew Davidson (wulfalpha) | 10 comments I'm starting this year too. I'm excited. I'm Lord_Wulf. on the site. I hope the deadline helps.

I'm writing the third book in my Flick Carter Post-Apoc series (actually I'm finishing the last chapter of book 2 today, so ploughing straight on with book 3 on Friday!). Working title is "Tested", which sounds a bit lame, but most of the good 6 letter words look like they'll get you on the "Banned by Kobo" list!

message 10: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa | 105 comments I am ness1012 on NaNoWriMo. This will be my second year after "winning" last year by mashing together a scifi idea and a self-help parody concept I had. The big challenge this year is I only have a very general concept of a character. Curious to see where things will lead with no plot or world thought out...

Michele | 1154 comments Good luck everyone!!

It looks like we can choose certain forum topics over there as "favorites" so if there are some S&L threads we can easily keep in touch - also here of course.

I'm user name serralinda

Trike | 11208 comments I think I'll do it, too. I made a cover and wrote a logline, so that's good, right? Practically halfway done with just that stuff!

Dwayne Caldwell | 141 comments Nice cover Trike! I started working on my cover about a week ago. I'll let you guys know when I'm done. In the meantime, I've added all of you as buddies. So if I fail, I'm blaming all of you.

Seriously though, I wish you all the best of luck. Here's to a productive month. :)

Remy | 24 comments This is my first year for NANOWRIMO.

http://nanowrimo.org/participants/rem...

I had a lot of interest in writing when I was in college, but I just got caught up in so many other endeavors. I would like to get back to writing, and hopefully this will be the way to get started again.

Good luck everyone!
