message 1: by Julie (new)

Julie | 568 comments I mean, that time that he was missing.
Where did he go?
Aren't we all glad that he is back now?

I am. :)

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Gus was gone, I'll be damned I didn't notice. :-D.

message 3: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I think about Gus a lot. I often wonder where he is. I mean he just goes away for weeks at a time. Never calls. Never writes.

message 4: by Usako (new)

Usako (bbmeltdown) I think Gus secretly signed on with the CIA, saved a U.S. Senator by cracking an assassination plot, then took a ride to the space station, ate some Wheaties before winning the Iron Man Competition and ending that "missing time" by devising methods to make the honking woman pay. And pay dearly.

message 5: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I think I saw Gus in one of the toilet bowl cleaner ads that I get on this page ....

message 6: by Julie (new)

Julie | 568 comments But he is back now.
And that is all that matters.
That and him writing a comment on his very own thread.
GUUUUUUUUUS!
Where are you?

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Who the hell is Gus?

Usako (bbmeltdown) Larry: You mean the ones with scrubbing bubbles? Oooh cartoon Gus.

message 10: by Julie (new)

Julie | 568 comments For some reason, now I am falling in love with the name Gus.
Maybe it's the repitition, but Gus is a pretty cool name.

Probably. I can neither confirm nor deny this happened.

message 12: by Usako (new)

Usako (bbmeltdown) Julie: I suspect it has to do with the meaning of Gus: Revered, Exalted (origin: German)

I'm in love.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Tanja, my real name is Gustavo, which is Spanish for "exalted asswipe." It may have been originated from the German, though.

message 15: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments Gus was pooping on his neighbor's lawn while blowing an air horn at 6AM. Then he had to go into hiding.

Oh, you mean he was making compost?

message 17: by [deleted user] (last edited Jun 10, 2009 12:56PM) (new)

Thick, fertile compost, to be exact. I was sick of seeing my neighbor's lawn look so brown and pitiful. A healthy loaf pinch should help her lawn out...

message 18: by Usako (new)

Usako (bbmeltdown) *laughs at Randomanthony!!*

What sceptor would an exalted asswipe carry? The golden toilet paper roll?

EXALTED ASSWIPE!!!!
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Hee, hee... I love it when you people make me laugh out loud.

Doesn't it affect the pooping process to be laying on that air horn at the same time, Gusto? I'd do a nice short "toot" at the end to signal the glorious end to yet another addition to the "compost heap."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

This would now be someone's cue to design a scepter for me, His Exalted Asswipe.

Anyone with mad Photoshop skills would be encouraged to take this initiative.

message 22: by Usako (new)

Usako (bbmeltdown) DO NOT TEMPT, GUS!

*twitches over her PS addiction*

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I'm gonna start calling you "Dabi" just to be a rebel, Gus (kinda like that time when I called you, "Gus" when everyone else was calling you "Dabi"). :)

paraphrasing a famed sci-fi film

Dabi...now that's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time.

Does everyone remember way back when once upon a time when Gus brought his "way cool" friend Heidi onto GR?!?

Yay! Thanks for that, Gus!

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

I think it was the other way around, Sally. Heidi introduced me to GR.

message 28: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments I did. I suckered him in (and our mutual friend Irenie introduced me to GR).

He introduced me to the groups on GR, though. I blame him for the time I spend here. :)

Star Wars!!! :) The original.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

In that case what the hell were you thinking Heidi?

Either way it worked out well for us. :-D.

message 31: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Say what you will. I completely and totally trust his judgment (except on Woody Allen movies).

RE 30:

Jim, that made me LOL right into my coffee cup. :D

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Uh, what did I say about Woody Allen films? Refresh my memory, if you please.

message 36: by Heidi (last edited Jun 11, 2009 10:45AM) (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Dood. You said I'd like Annie Hall (blech) and YOU like Bananas, El Presidente (I've never seen it).

I am not a classic Woody Allen fan... I am starting to like his newer stuff - MatchPoint, Vicky Cristina Barcelona

message 37: by Sally, la reina (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | 17373 comments Mod
Sounds like you like Scarlett.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

The Bananas thing I remember. I forgot you didn't like Annie Hall. Seems to me there's a lot of people who don't like that film. Dunno why.

message 39: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Sally wrote: "Sounds like you like Scarlett."

Nope. I mean she's okay. I typically like her movies (because she seems to make good choices), but I don't go out of my way to watch a movie because she's in it.

I do like Jonathan Rhys Meyers and REALLY like Javier Bardem, though. :)

Woody Allen.

Usako (bbmeltdown) Inserts absurd

Bananas made me think of an old song...
The Tra, La, La Song (One Banana, Two Banana) the Banana Splits redone by Liz Phair.

Félix (habitseven) Scarlett! (no picture this time.)

I dunno either? Walken was in it...and eventually he needed more cowbell!
He's got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell!
