yes and no, the reason for this is because a vampire can often know when blood is bad by the taste, remember when larten crepsley took a quick sample and spat it back out? he refered to it as sour further in the saga when speaking with Vancha March (Harst) and why i say no too is simply because although Darren refered to him in the cirque du freak as a "wild child" and then also stating on many occasions in the same book he pointed out the fact that he was always too scared to upset steve because he had a nasty temper on him... finally when steve asked Larten to blood him and got rejected he vowed to kill larten just because of rejection, not only saying that in a fit of anger he kept that vow when he grew up (allies of the night - killers of the dawn)later only (sons of destiny) to only WANT to kill his best frend in war for mear revenge and more power is proof that steve leonard (Leopard)is evil

I would think that he was really born evil. In the Cirque Du Freak series, he had done a lot of stuff from beginning to end that would suggest that he never was good. Everyone was scared of him and he wanted to kill his best friend over something like jealousy because Darren had gotten something that he didn't. I would certainly say that he was very evil.
