Aw, thank you! I honestly wondered if anyone would even remember me, haha!

Everything was upside down in 2016! Good to see you, Roseanne. :)

Oh, I've missed you guys so much!! How great that you've been off writing books and having babies! Welcome Back!
Yes, there are lots of fun challenges! Allison and Jenny are fabulous Moderators. They're both so creative and supportive of the group!

A little baby story as I think they're so funny. When my 7-month old lets me read, he'll sometimes require me to hand him out an adult nivel so he can hold a big book like Mummy. It doesn't matter that he's got a million baby books, he needs one of mine! He cracks me up!
We are getting lots of snowfall today, so I'm home from work with my books and my kitties. I do love a Snow Day! Anyone else snowed in?
I love snow days, but we haven't had one this winter. We had some nasty freezing rain on Tuesday. Driving was okay because the roads were salted but walking was a nightmare. We are actually having a sunny day today. We have very few of these this winter.
Snow days are such a special treat, Renee - enjoy! We're expecting temps close to 70 here in Colorado today. It feels more like Spring than Winter!
That was us yesterday, Allison! We literally went from a sunny 65 to shoveling in less than 24 hours. Weather is so weird!

I have it too, it's great!
Yay, Karen! Glad you're enjoying some of the changes which occurred while you were a busy mommy. (Among other things)
A reread feature sounds like a long awaited improvement, Sonia. It also means GR does listen sometimes. :)

I'm sooo looking forward to the re-read feature! Every time I re-read something and change the date to make it count for my current reading challenge, it knocks it off a previous year's reading challenge. Then it looks like I didn't reach my goal that year and the banner disappears from my page. DEVASTATION.

I love those instances when we get to be the archeologists of our own lives. Great Stuff, Lynette!
That's excellent, Lynnette! I started keeping a list when I was 19 or so. I always wish I'd started earlier.
I have kept a list since I graduated from university, in the 70s. I look at some of the titles and don't remember a thing. Others have read and reread. Of course, some books have different titles in different countries. I was reading a Ngaio Marsh novel which seemed awfully familiar, and then I discovered I was reading the book with the American title instead of the British. In Canada we can get both versions.
I've had that happen with Agatha Christie! Of course, then I can feel really smart for "guessing" whodunnit!

For that reason many people would mark a different edition of the book they were reading as a work around. I didn't want to resort to that. It would confuse me later on, NO more having to do that.
I made "read in ____" shelves (I had seen or heard about that solution from another member).
I often read a "cross-over" book that is a book I started reading in one year and then finished up in the next year. Goodreads count when you FINISHED the book, as when you read it. Even if you started reading it years and years ago (slowly digesting a chapter a year). With the re-read function I won't "Need" the "Read in ____" shelves, at least not for that reason.

Are people still having trouble with their counts? My app stopped counting in Feb but righted itself a couple of days ago.
My daughter went back to work two weeks ago after a year long maternity leave. My husband and I are looking after her two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays. I am getting a lot of exercise!

Are you enjoying it?
I've decided not to go back to work after my maternity leave, I feel very lucky we are able to do that and I can stay at home with my little boy!
I am enjoying it, but I am getting a lot more exercise than before. Today we went to the farmers market before lunch, and Starbucks and the local library after lunch. Grandpa came along too but I pushed the stroller. I find it easier to walk while pushing.
I was a stay at home Mom too, but Toronto is so expensive that my daughter had to go back to work. Rachel will be going into daycare in a year or so, and her name is already on three waiting lists.

That sounds horrible, I hope you can get some rest!
So sorry to hear you've been unwell, Tammi. Take care of yourself.
Sonia-
Is that from the Flashman series? If so, how is it?
