Holly Fairall (birdbrainbooks) | 48 comments Thought I'd share this: they are working on a Jane Austen role-playing video/computer game. Watch the video to see a demo & talk to the creator and also links to their Kickstarter page, as they are still raising money for the project.

(I have nothing to do with it--just came across and thought I'd share!)

Louise Sparrow (louisex) | 304 comments To be honest I'm not a big fan of MMO's but this does look like fun, I'm tempted to give it a try.

The most off-putting thing is that when it goes live you have to pay a monthly subscription to keep playing at anything above a peasant level... for non-gamers it's a bit of an unwelcome commitment in more than just time.

Nicole N. (A Myriad of Books) (amyriadofbooks) | 6 comments My husband showed me this. He said it is extremely far from being finished.

I'm not a big gamer by any means but this looks so interesting I wouldn't mind playing it when and if the game officially comes out. :)

Hannah | 123 comments If you guys are interested in a simple RPG based on Austen's works, I found one that's already been created: http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-...
It's kind of like reading a choose-your-own-adventure book; not nearly as involved as an MMO. I bought and played it, and while it didn't last me a long time, it was pretty fun figuring out which traits would attract the attention of each suitor!

QNPoohBear | 739 comments I came across the ad for that in the copy of Jane Austen's World Magazine I picked up in Bath, but my computer is too old and not a gaming machine. It would go "Can. Not. Move. Freeze. Blue Screen of Death." I do plan to try to recycle it for credit against a new one but if I start playing games, I'll never ever get a job or do anything else. It sounds fun though.
