I don't really know because Bethany and Bella have so much in common.
1.They're both naïve.
2.They both come off as weak and delicate.
3.No matter what happens it seems they can't do anything on their own without getting into danger or needing assistance right after the fact.
But when you think about it aren't all female characters like that??................nope.

Neither, both girls are too delicate and very needy of his men. We are no longer those delicate girls like princesses. We need better female referents, as Mérida (if only a character in film), Katniss Everdeen, Tris Prior and Claire Randall!
