Welcome to Module 2! During this module, we will all get to enjoy literature and other media related to the Victorian Era. During the winter and holiday months, we tend to see influences of the Victorian Era all around us. One obvious choice for a good Victorian Era read is the author Charles Dickens, but there are many wonderful books and movies to enjoy that incorporate this era. We would enjoy hearing all about some books that you have enjoyed, or any suggestions you might have for all of us that pertain to this subject.

I recently "revisited" Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. While it's not one of my favorites, this Victorian classic is so pervasive. Phrases such as "Down the rabbit hole" come from this book. Also, this is said to be Carroll's commentary on the Victorian middle class.

If you are interested in learning more about the Victorian Era and Christmas, I also found an interesting article on the BBC website. They not only have historical facts on the Victorian Era and Christmas, but they have a section with different activities and recipes you can do!
