Also, approximately when did you read this, or when do you think it was published?

Would the author be Kelley Armstrong? One of her series has witches and werewolves who get along really well, with too much romance. Dime Store Magic is the only book I recall at the moment. You can find her book listing on Goodreads

it wouldn't be this series. I've read the first 2 which are about werewolves and that is not how the story line goes. The rest are about other super naturals and don't revolve around werewolves anymore.

I second His Purrfect Mate by Laurann Dohner.
