Books I Loathed discussion

Read this a few years ago as part of a writing course - instructor intended us to use it for a model of successful technique. Well ... the class where we were to begin discussion of the first assigned section it turned out most of us hated the book! Instructor tried gamely to keep the focus on the craft examples, but we weren't expected to continue with the book thereafter. I finished it to see if it got better: a solid NO - dreary, drearier, dreariest!

Thank you for this! I have had this book sitting on my bookshelf for two years and have yet to pick it up. i think I will just donate it!
