Me too! Once you get going it's hard to stop.
I'm new to this but it sounds like fun so I'll give it a go. (I actually re-read my entire collection of Sue Grafton - Kinsey Millhone 'Alphabet Mysteries' in Jan/Feb of this year - A to V, but I'll discount them for this purpose as that would ruin the challenge! I might cheat and use Q though...)

Welcome to the challenge! "Q" is for sure a tricky one, so I'd use it, if I were you :D.
We have an A-Z author variation, too. That one is even trickier. You should give it a go as well.

I was actually just looking at the author A-Z challenge and trying to decide whether to have a go. I think I will :)

Welcome to the challenge, Gavin! It's a fun one, especially near the end of the year, as you try to hunt up a title you'd never have noticed otherwise, were it not for having to fill in a letter :)

I've been looking through my TBR list to see if I have any books on my shelves to fill some gaps and I'm struggling to find titles for E, I, Q, X, Y & Z.
I would be really grateful for any suggestions. Genre isn't really important as I'll read just about anything. Thanks :)

If you looks at my TBR I have numerous books for each letter except X...I'm working on that one though.
ETA: here's a Listopia with some X Titles: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6...

Thanks for the help. The link is very useful :)

Not late at all! I joined last year's in October ;-). As long as it's the same calendar year, and your memory is long, or your reading speed fast, or both (heh), it's not too late! Besides, you are WELL on your way to done. Happy reading!

:D Maybe Julie subconsciously noticed that "X" is a tricky one, and slid on by it without realizing it! funny ~~
I was looking at that part of her list too, but my mind was 'caught' by the 'shiny object' ie A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail. I think I may have that title on my kindle .... :D

Oh shoot - I'll quickly add that, actually I copied the alphabet-list from someone else in the thread so it will be missing elsewhere as well ;-)

We may have to get Sherlock on the case and find the other missing "X". We can call it "The Case of the Missing X"

I am really close with this challenge. Of course I do have a few tough letters left -- LUVX
Only 4 left.

Hmm.. there should be enough Queens... or Queenies (one by Alice Munro) out there for a Q, or The Quiet American which would be my suggestion if you haven't read it yet. (I haven't either but been interested.)

And it's pretty short, and a classic! And you'll get Vietnam, if you are collecting. :-P

X is tricky! Well done :)
Here are the X books read (and posted) in the challenge this year (2014):
The Xibalba Murders by Lyn Hamilton
x0 by Sherrie Cronin
Hmm. Either I can't read, or we are not doing well with X!

Good one, Aprilleigh! I'll add that one to try for X. Now maybe I can get that letter finished before December.

Welcome to the challenge :)

Hi Fran, welcome to the challenge! You can make an A-Z tally sheet for yourself that you can edit to add new titles as you read them. It's fun reading through the alphabet. Can get tricky with some of those scarce letter :)
Found an X title in my local library, XO by Jeffery Deaver. Haven't read it yet though, it's in my TBR stack for this month.

Nice! Sounds interesting, too. Hope you enjoy it :)

Good work -- you are moving along on the alphabet challenges. I've almost finished my L book, and have ideas for UVX too. Have you read your X book yet?

I have, it was quite good - lots of twists and turns. Haven't read many Jeffery Deaver before but I think I'm going to start looking out for more of his books.
Just got E & Q to go on this challenge now and have a couple of ideas for each.
