Always Remember discussion

Nate Coltrane (rancher) calls his former lover Jessie Adams (country singer) from Canada (Calgary) to let her know her mother (Maude Adams/Sam) is dying. Harley Jane Davis best friend in HS has been taking care of Maude. Nate & Jesse had a child together & at the age of 17 she gave it up for adoption. Nate was never told.

The daughter has written a request to meet with Jesse her biological mother. Will she have the guts to tell Nate?

In several of the chapters there was lots of reminiscing about what could have been if Jesse had stayed (reconciliation). As well as fond family memories, friends & life on the horse ranch. Sometimes I got lost in all of that.

Nate plays a guitar in a band & that night they played at Phil’s Last Chance Saloon where he asks Jessie to come on stage & sing Always Remember for the crowd of PPL. The band also went through a medley of her songs. When the night ended the fans swarmed her.

When they arrive back at the ranch Sara (18) is there; Jesse thought all along she was Nate’s G/f, come to find out it is his adopted daughter. How coincidental is that.

Sarah & Jesse start to bond. Sarah sees/shares that Nate really still loves Jesse. She also reveals to her that she is P/G with Hale’s unborn. He had told her he did not want longevity/commitment, but Sarah has to tell him & then Nate. This really brought back some memories to Jesse. Hale asks Sarah who’s it was & she reply’s it was her responsibility.

Nate was going to kick Hale off the ranch but they worked things out & he wanted to be a part of Sarah’s life. She also had contacted her biological mother. Shortly thereafter Jesse told Nate he had a daughter, Sarah was present also.

Nate heard the plea in Sara’s voice. He closed his eyes and struggled against the fear of losing
them both. This reunion was long overdue. Mother and daughter together after a lifetime apart.

The dying mother; Maude finally reveled to Jessica that Sara was her child. Nate knew all along.

Sara gets in a very serious accident, concussion & only her left leg needed pins, the unborn baby was OK.

In the end they are going to get married & live happily ever after.

I would classify this as a cowboy romance, I really enjoyed reading this free book, the 1st ever of this source. I would have to rate it with a little tweaking at 5 stars.
