A World Without Sun discussion

"That's really good." he said with a smile.

Lily smiled, "Can we get more ice cream now that mommy's here?"

Aaron pretended to seriously consider it. "Well, if your mommy wants some too...."

Lily bouced and tugged Chloe's hand, "Please mommy! Please!"
Chloe shook her head, a little afraid of running into her stepfather((who really needs a name-_-)), "Mommy's tired baby."
"Please!" Lily begged.
Chloe sighed, "If you really want some.."
"Yay!"

((Why not Gabe? Sounds like it would suit him.))

"Sonanother ice-cream it is." Aaron said grandly, getting up. "Let's go." he grinned at Lily.

"Yay!" Lily pulled Chloe to her feet.
Chloe mumbled only loud enough for Aaron to hear, "Thanks for getting her hyper. Your putting her to bed."

((Should they run into Gabe? :o))

((Yeah. I think so. It's been peaceful far too long...:D))

"You're the one who agreed for another ice-cream." Aaron said smiling at her. "With that, she's not falling asleep any time soon."

((On some level this is so mean XD. I haven't found that level yet tho))

Chloe giggled as the walked out the house. "You started this whole ice cream thing."

((Lol. I love seeing characters go to alk this trouble, as long as it ends al, right))

"She asked me for it!" he said in mock-defencivness. "How could I disagree?"

Chloe smiled, "It doesn't help that she's so cute."

((Oh my god. I was just going to write that. Me to..D:))

"You're right." he said shaking his head. "It definitely doesn't."

Chloe smiled, "I still blame you."

"Hey! That's not fair." he said. "I was a victim of her cuteness." he smiled too.

"So am I." she said and kissed his cheek

Aaron kissed her back on the lips. "Hey," he said grinning. "I have enogh money to pay this time."

"Now your learning." Chloe smiled
Lily bounced back over to them, "Come on!!!"

"Coming." Aaron said. "She's definitely hyper." he grinned at Chloe.

Chloe groaned playfully, "Let's just go."

As soon as they got to Aaron's house, Chloe went immediately to her room.

Aaron decided to leave her alone for a while. He looked at Lily. "Are you okay?"

Lily nodded, "Why Grandpa Gabe look mad?" she asked

Aaron ran a hand through his hair, not knowing what to tell her.

"Aarun." she tugged his hand wanting an answer, "Is mommy in trouble?"

"No." he said. "Not really but you should be careful. Don't wander off by yourself."

She nodded, "Okie."

Aaron sat down on the couch, feeling that his legs couldn't support him anymore.

Lily followed Aaron and laid down with her head in his lap.

"It's going to be fine." he said sighing.

"Okay." she yawned.

"You want to go to sleep?" Aaron asked her.

Lily nodded and fell asleep quickly.

Aaron picked her up to carry her to the room. He climbed upstairs and knocked on the door.

Chloe opened the door and saw Lily asleep and took her from Aaron's arms silently.

"You okay?" Aaron asked her softly.

"I'm fine." Chloe laid Lily in the bed.

"I mean really." Aaron said. "You always say you're 'fine' when I ask you." he raised his hands and drew quote marks in the air.

Chloe hugged herself, "I'm sorry." she really didn't know how to express her feelings to someone that actually cared about them.

"So, how are you really feeling?" Aaron asked, stepping into the room.

Chloe sat on the edge of the bed. "Scared. I-I know they could be empty threats but its still something he can do to me and Lily."

Aaron sat down next to her and wrapped his arms around her protectively. He didn't say anything.

Chloe laid her head on his chest shaking.

"We'll take care of Lily." Aaron murmered. "It's going to be all right."

She nodded, "C-can you stay? Just until I fall asleep."

"Sure." he said. "I'll be here."

Chloe smiled softly and crawled under the blankets.

Aaron smiled and leaned against the bck of the bed.

Aaron made a face. "The usual." he said. "It sucked."
