A World Without Sun discussion

Chloe shivered in his arms but closely stop crying as if hearing his voice.

Aaron stayed like that for some more time and then slowly started getting up. Throgh the curtains, he could see the first rays of sunlight coming out.

((lol, por Aaron. Just sleep on the floor or something))

((I feel sorry for him. :b))

Aaron raked a hand through his hair and sank down to the floor, his head against the bed.

((Ik. Time skip?))

Chloe woke up and frowned seeing Aaron on the floor. She went and got a blanket and covered him in it.

Aaron stirred a little in his sleep but didn't wake up. He was too tired.

Chloe felt bad that she might be the reason he stayed her late. She sighed and headed down to the kitchen and hoped none of his parents were there.

Aaron's mother walked out of her room and saw Chloe immediately. She smiled at her. "You're up early." she said.

Chloe jumped slightly, "Umm..ya. Early bird and all."

"I'm leaving for work." she said. "Anything you want?"

Chloe shook her head, "I was just going to get some breakfast."

"Okay." Aaron's mother said. "I'll leave then. Make sure Aaron gets up soon." she smiled at Chloe again and started to leave.

"Wait." Chloe went after her, "Can I talk to you? About Aaron."

His mother stopped. "Yes. What about him?"

"Do you think you could spend time with him? Like mother son things?" Chloe asked, "I know I'm new but it doesn't seem like you spend time with him."

His mother sighed. "It's not your business the way I treat my son." she said. "He doesn't mind it so why do you?"

Aaron woke up with a start, feeling the muscles of his neck gone stiff. He got to his feet and started walking to the door.

"He does mind." Chloe said. "You barely talk to him how would you know what he feels?."

"It's still none of your business." his mother said stiffly. "I have to leave." she started walking away. Aaron heard voices and was just in time to see his mother walk away.

Chloe followed her, "It is my business because I looks like I'm the only who cares about your son."

Aaron's mother turned around and saw Aaron standing there, his eyes wide. "You think I don't care about my son?" she whispered.

Chloe followed her gaze and saw Aaron there. She couldn't have said anything it wasn't her business. "Sorry." she said rushed past him and into her room.

Aaron just stared after her and then looked at his mother. "It's all right." he said quietly. "You can go to work. You're late." his mother nodded and left.

Lily sat on the bed watching Chloe pack their things up.

Aaron stood there for another minute, leaning against the doorframe.

Lily went over to Aaron and tugged his hand

Aaron looked down at her. "What hapoened?" he asked.

"Mommy packing." she frowned

"What?!" He moved away from the door and nearly ran towards Chloe's room.

Chloe didn't look up when Aaron came in, "Go away."

"I'm not that mad at you." Aaron said. "You don't have to leave."

Chloe sighed and looked at him, "Why don't you say something to her?"

"Because I'm used to it." he said. "You didn't havr to say anything."

"Yes I do." Chloe said, "Because it makes you unhappy."

"Only sometimes." he said. "It's not worth the talking and it wasn't your business anyway." he tiredley rubbed his forehead.

"I know." Chloe said and went back to packing, "That's why I'm leaving."

"I didn't say you have to leave!" Aaron said. "I'm just really tired, okay? You don't have to take everything I say seriously."

"Go to sleep and I'll be out of your hair." Chloe frowned

"I didn't mean it like that!" Aaron nearly shouted.

Chloe winced at his tone and looked down.

"Look, my house is the only thing keeping you safe from your stepfather." Aaron said. "You can't leave."

"I know that." Chloe said "but you make it sound like a jail in here."

"What am I doing wrong?" Aaron asked exasperatedly.

Chloe sighed and went up to kiss him wanting to stop the fight.

"Not now." Aaron said pushing her away slightly. "I'm just not in the mood."

Chloe sighed and nodded

"Just...don't leave." Aaron said. "I'm going to get some sleep."

Chloe brushed back her hair. "Okay."

Aaron walked out of the room and into his own room where he collapsed onto the bed and immediately fell asleep.
