A World Without Sun discussion

"Should I get Lily to your room?" he asked.

Chloe nodded, "Can I see her?" she asked missing her daughter.

"Yeah." Aaron disapoeared into his bedroom and came out carrying Lily who was still sleeping.

Chloe bit back a sob and rushed over and took Lily from his arms gently, not wanting to wake her.

"She's been missing you a lot." Aaron said, looking at her.

Chloe nodded and smiled when Lily opened her eyes and looked at her, "Mommy?"
Chloe smiled tears in her eyes, "Hey baby."
Lily grinned and hugged. She hoped this wasn't a dream, "Your back!"

Aaron smiled after a long time. "See?" he said to Lily. "I told you mommy will be back."

"You saved her!" Lily jumped from Chloe's arms and went to hug Aaron's legs, "Like you promised!"

Aaron looked very uncomfortable. "No." he said. "I didn't....save her. She saved herself."

Lily shrugged, not letting his words knock down her happiness, "But she's still here."

"Yeah." he said, rubbing the back of his head. "But it's not because of me Lily."

"So?" she frowned.

"Nothing." he said. "Just forget I said anything."

Lily frowned and hugged him one last time before going back to her mommy.

Aaron looked at Chloe. "Don't go out anywhere without me." he said. "Not even to the shops. I don't want to lose you again."

Chloe tightened her grip on Lily, "I won't."

"It's the same for you," Aaron said,turning to Lily. "And you won't be going to school for some time,okay?"

"Okay." she nodded and looked at them, "What's going on?"
Chloe kissed her daughter's forehead, "Nothing sweety."

"It's just to keep us safe." Aaron said. "I think you'll be able to go to school after a while."

She sighed, "Okay."

He looked at Chloe again. "Think you should get some sleep now?" he asked.

She nodded and gave him a quick hug before going to her old room to rest.

Aaron went into his own room and lay down on the bed.

"Arun." Lily went after him and climbed in, a habit she had started since Chloe left.

"You should go sleep with mommy." he said sleepily. "I bet she'smissing you."

"She real?" Lily asked sounding younger than she was, "She not going to disappear like in my dreams?"

"No she's not." Aaron said with a smile. "Becausr I can see her too and I wouldn't have been able to if it's a dream."

Lily grinned, "Yay!" she ran out the room.

Aaron smiled and turned over, promptly falling asleep.

"hey." Chloe smiled at Aaron from where she sat on the couch, when he finally came out his room.

He smiled. "I still can't believe you're back." he said, shaking his head. "It's like Lily said, a dream."

"I know." she smiled.

Aaron sat down next to her. "I feel like killing Gabe." he said.

"Aaron please." she hugged herself. She was finally back with her family, she didn't to think about Gabe anymore.

"Okay, okay." he said. "I won't mention him...but..." he looked at her stomach. "What about the baby?"

Chloe bit her lip, "I want to keep it. Its not the baby's fault."

"I know." he said hurriedley. "But...what about Gabe?"

"I don't know." she sighed. No way was he going to just give up on her no matter how much she hoped he would.

"He's going to keep on looking for you." Aaron said. "Unless we get him caught by the police or something."

"Maybe we can leave an anonymous tip?" she offered.

"He's going to find out where we are." Aaron said. "And anyway, even if we tip them off, we don't know where he's living."

"My mom would know." Chloe whispered.

Aaron looked at her. He knew she didn't like her mom. "Should we ask her?" he said tentatively.

"I don't know." Chloe said. Her mom would have had Gabe's baby by now, and she so didn't want to meet the child. Plus her mom wouldn't give Gabe up so easily.

"She's your mother." he said. "I'm sure she'll want to help you. She may even help us report him to the police after she tells us where he is." he sounded hopeful.

"You don't get it Aaron. She 'loves' him. She won't help us."

"She's your mom." he said. "And she's not like my 'mom' so I'm sure she'll help."

Chloe sighed and rested her head on his shoulder, "Alright."
