A World Without Sun discussion

Aaron put an arm around her shoulders and sighed.

Chloe snuggled up to Aaron for second then covered her mouth with her hand and ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet.

Aaron went after her and stood at the door. His face was pale. "You okay?" he asked, biting his lip.

Chloe nodded and wiped her mouth and flushed the toilet when she finished. "Yea, throwing up is normal when pregnant." she whispered leaning her head back against the wall.

"I know..." he said. "I'm just...not used to it." he walked over to her and hugged her.

Chloe hugged him back."D-do you think if its okay if I go to the doctor?" she asked softly, "I want to know the gender of the baby."

"I'm fine with going." he said. "But we have to be really careful." he pulled vack from the hug and looked at her. "Are you sure you're up for it?"

Chloe nodded and stood up, "Yes."

"What about Lily?" he asked. "We can't take her with us."

"Why not?" she frowned.

"Come on." he said. "Gabe is after her. She's a kid and it'll be really easy for anyone to just grab her when we're in the hospital."

Chloe sighed, "We just can't leave her here alone."

"I know..." Aaron sighed and ran a hand throughhis hair. "All roads seem to lead to your mom."

Chloe sighed, she know she had to put up with her mom eventually she just didn't like it. "Okay."

"Or...." his voice fell flat a little. "If you don't want to, there's my alleged mom." he looked upset that he'd even thought of the idea.

Chloe shook her head, "No, we'll ask my mom." she didn't want him to deal with his parents.

"Okay. That's good then." he said, glad that he didn't have to go back to his parents.

She nodded and went to get Lily.

He waited for her to come back.

Chloe came back holding a sleeping Lily. She didn't want to say it hurt to carry her but she didn't want to be a bigger bother to Aaron than she already was.

"I'll hold her." Aaron said, taking Lily from Chloe. "So are we going to call?" he asked. "Or just show up at her doorstep?"

"Show up." Chloe said, "I need to figure how I'm going to explain this to her."

"Good idea." he said, nodding. "I always wanted to show up at my mother in law's doorstep with no explanation."

She snorted, "Whatever Aaron." she smiled and headed for the door.

He smiled and followed her, carrying Lily.

Chloe was half sleep when they got back home and was leaning agaisnt Aaron.

Aaron put his arm around her and helped her up the stairs.

"thanks." she mummbled closing her eyes.

Aaron helped her all the way up to her room. "Get some rest." he smiled.

She nodded and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

Aaron looked around for Lily. He was sure she had come here with them.

Lily sat outside picking up blades of grass.

He got worried when he didn't see her. "Lily!" he called out. "Where are you?"

Lily heard heard Aaron yelling and went back inside. "here."

"Where were you?" he asked worriedley.

"out front." she said looking down.

He shook his head. "Yoi've got to stay inside." he said.

"but I wonna play outside." she frowned,, "please?"

"Lily..." he said. "You can't right now. It's too dangerous."

Lily sighed , "fine."

"Thank you." Aaron sighed in relief.

Lily looked around, "where mommy?"

"She's asleep." Aaron said. "She was feeling tired."

"oh." she nodded, "She okay?"

"She's okay." Aaron said and in an undertone "I hope."

"You hope?" she asked him worried.

"No. She's fine." Aaron said quickly. "She'll be completely fine after she wakes up."

Lily nodded and took Aaron's hand, "color?"
