A World Without Sun discussion

Aaron heldMax and carried him towards the door. He took out his key carefully and opened the door.

Chloe carried Lily inside and laid her daughter in her room. She went back to the living room and over to Aaron and Max.

Aaron looked at her. "I'm glad." he said finally "That Max is not Gabe's baby. I'm really, really glad." he smiled slightly.

"Are you glad he's yours?" she asked a little nervous that he'd say no.

"I didn't know what to think at first." he said slowly. "But yes, I'm glad."

Chloe released a breath she didn't know she had been holding. "thanks."

"It was definitely a surprise though." he said. "A pleasant one." he looked down at MAx.

Max smiled up at his dad.

Aaron tickled him under the chin, smiling back at him.

Max giggled and squirmed in Aaron's arms.

"Well, you like that, don't you?"Aaron said, tickling his feet and smiling.

Max smiled and grabbed Aaron's nose.

"Hey." Aaron said, moving away. "You've got a strong grip."

The baby smiled and yawned.

"He's sleepy." Aaron said, loking at Chloe.

Chloe nodded and held out her arms for the baby.

Aaron handed Max to her carefully.

Chloe cradled her baby and took him to the crib in her room and laid him down and tucked him in. She went back over to Aaron.

Aaron smiled at her. "Well..." he said, not sure of what to say now. "This is not tge scenario I saw the first time I met you."

Chloe nodded, "Me either but I like it better then the other way it could have happened." She probably would be dead or pregnant again by Gabe.

"I know." he smiled. Since he had met Chloe, he had stopped stammering and had grown more open. He almost felt like a different person.

Chloe kissed his cheek, "Nite?" It was going to be cramped in her room with sharing a bed with Max and Lily since she didn't have a crib for Max yet.

"Good night." Aaron said and then looked at her uncertainly. "Do you think Max could sleep in my room tonight." he said. "It's kind of lonely in there now that Lily's sleeping with you again."

Chloe nodded, Max was his son too. "Sure."

Aaron slowly lifted Max up from the bed so as not to wake him and cradled him in his arms. "Good night." he said.

"Night." Chloe said and kissed his cheek then Max's forehead.

"Night." he said again and left the room, carrying Max.

Chloe went to her room and fell asleep quickly.

Lily went to Aaron's room and shook his awake, "Aarun."

Aaron woke up with a start. "Hey." He smiled at her sleepily.

Lily smiled back.

"Has your mommy woken up yet?" He asked.

"nope." She shook her head,

"Do you want any breakfast?" He asked, turning over and seeing that Max was still asleep.

"I wanna a dogie. Can we get a doggie?" She asked.

"A doggy?" Aaron said. He had not been expecting this.

"Yes." she nodded excitedly, "like on tv."

"I don't think we can get you a dog Lily." he said. "There's just no place."

"oh." she frowned,"okie."

He looked at her, seeing that she looked disappointed. "Do you really, really want one?" he asked.

Lily nodded, "but its okie Aarun."

He nodded uncertainly. "Okay..."

"Play?" she asked.

"Okay." he nodded. "what do you want to play?"

"Tag outside."

"OK." he said, getting up. 'Let's go."

"Yay!" Lily smiled and tugged him to the door.

Aaron followed her outside, letting himself be dragged along.

Lily giggled and ran around outside happy not to be stuck in the house all day.
