"But its not right the way they ignore you." Chloe said,

"They've given me a house." Aaron said "And I can skip school when I like. Most people would want that."

"Okay so not all bad." she said

"Yeah..." he said sighing "That's why I can't hate them."

"But your aloud to be unhappy." Chloe said and realized her hand was still on his and pulled away, blushing softly.

"Yeah. That's what I am now." he said smiling a little and noricing she'd pulled her hand away.

"You sad?" Lily said coming to were Chloe and Aaron sat.

"Yeah." Aaron said. "A little."

"Aarun no sad." Lily said and hugged him

"It's okay." he said hugging her back. "I'm okay Lily."

"Really?" She asked cutely.

"Yeah." he said, attempting a smile. "You don't have to worry about me at all."

"Why don't you go and play, sweetie." Chloe said gently.
Lily nodded, "Okie." and went back to her toys.

Aaron looked at Chloe. "You don't think I'm being too sensitive, do you?"

Chloe shook her head, "No, its okay for you to have feelings and feel hurt, Aaron."

"That's great." he mumbled and then shook his head as if to clear it. "It's stupid." he said. "I always do this even when I know that this is what always happens."

Chloe bit her lip, she wished she knew how to help him. He didn't deserve this especially after how nice he had been to her. "Why don't you stay in here. Lily and I don't ignore you." she blushed and hurried on, "Besides the little girl really likes you."

Aaron blushed too. "I think I'll go back to my own room." he said hurriedley. "I'll see you in the morning?"

Chloe nodded and hugged him quickly and went to pick up Lily, who had fallen asleep on the floor.

Aaron looked at her one last time to see if everything was okay and then left the room.

Aaron knocked on the door of the room in the morning. He'd slept on his hair the wrong way and it was sticking up on one side.

Chloe went to answer the door before it woke up Lily. She raised an eyebrow at Aaron, "Morning person?"

"Yeah." he said. "I usually get up pretty early. Strange, isn't it?" he smiled. "How are you doing?"

"Good." Chloe said and wondered if she should tell him about her mother's phone call.

"That's good." Aaron said. "What about Lily?"

"She's asleep and no nightmares." Chloe smiled

"Great." Aaron said, sitting down on the bed. "No worries then except that my parents might be staying home today."

Chloe bit her lip, "We'll be fine with staying up here. You'll get have to bring us food."

"That'll be like a room arrest or something!" Aaron exclaimed. "I can't do that."

Chloe gave a humorless laugh. I've had worse. she thought grimly. She sat next to him, "Yes you can. We'll be fine. Besides if their staying home maybe you guys can spend time together."

It was Aaron's turn to laugh bitterly. "Them? Spending time with me? That's completely out of the question. I'll just tell them you're here. They'll forget it the next day, I guess."

Chloe arched an eyebrow, "Forget that a teenage girl around their son's age and her daughter are living with them? Not likely." She blushed thinking about a conclusion they would jump to.

"They won't think that." he said, reading her thoughts by her expression. "And belive me, they forget a lot of stuff that nobody would ever forget. They're a little absent-minded that way."

Chloe bit her lip and nodded, "If you think its best."

"They'll be awake soon." he said. "Once I introduce you, just keep out of their way. It should be allright." he pursed his lips.

Chloe nodded and tugged her hair nervously.

"We'll just wait till Lily wakes up." Aaron said. "Best that I introduce both of you together."

Chloe nodded. "I can wake her now if you want."

"No. Let her sleep." Aaron said. "She's a kid."

Chloe nodded and gave him a small smile, "Since you rarely go to school, does that mean I won't have to either?"

"Entirely your choice." Aaron said. "You can go if you like school but I usually won't be coming with you."

Chloe smiled, "I wasn't planning to, but I'll probably have to take Lily and go to work."

"I can take care of Lily." Aaron said. "No problem. I'm at home anyway."

Chloe smiled, "Thank you, but don't tell her your skipping school. I want her to go to school when she's older." she teased playfully.

"Oh. Yeah I'll tell her I'm too old for school or something." Aaron said. "Wait...she probably won't believe that." he made a face.

Chloe giggled, "Ya, your not smart enough." she joked.

"I am smart." he protested. "I just don't go to school. I meant, bevause of my height."

Chloe raised an eyebrow, "Your height?"

"I'm not tall enough to pass for someone above eighteen." he said blushing.
