A World Without Sun discussion

Chloe sat on the couch but far away from Aaron.

Lily sat on the floor next to Aaron's leg, watching tv.

Aaron looked at Chloe, feeling a little twinge of hurt.

Chloe pulled a pillow close to her, afraid to look at Aaron even though she could feel him watching. She didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

"You want to come down for some time?" Aaron asked Chloe. "We could go look at the pool?"

Chloe smiled, "I love swimming."

Aaron looked down at Lily. "You'll be okay here for a little bit, won't you?"

Lily looked up and nodded, "I be good." she promised.

"Cool." Aaron said and looked at Chloe. "Coming?"

Chloe noddded and stood up.

Aaron led the way to the swimming pool.

Chloe gasped in awe at the size of it, "Its huge."

Aaron smiled. "It's mostly deep but the left of it is shallow. Where do you like to swim?"

Chloe answered by taking off her shoes and socks and jumping in the deep end, splashing some water on Aaron.

Aaron laughed and made a big splash, aiming most of the water at Chloe.

Chloe squealed with joy, "Jerk." she teased

Aaron slid into the water with his clothes still on and went straight under. He resurfaced ten seconds later, his hair plastered to his forehead. "Come on." he said wiping water from his eyes. "It's fun."

Chloe swam over to him and jumped on his back, smiling.

Aaron ducked underwater and started swimming wirh her on is back.

Chloe giggled and held on to him tight. This was fun, she tried to remember the last time, she actually had a good time.

Aaron ducked underwater so she had to let go. "Time out." he gasped "I'm not used to swimming like this."

Chloe giggled at his face and kissed his lips quickly and went under embarrassed. Where had that come from?

Aaron blushed when she kissed him and looked at her in surprise just before she went under. He realized he was gaping and quickly closed his mouth.

Chloe came back up, "I'm sorry." she said quickly, thinking he was mad at her.

"What..?" Aaron seemed to have forgotten how to talk. "There's nothing to be sorry about." he said quickly.

"But.. but." Chloe stuttered, "I shouldn't have done it, I made you mad."

"You didn't make me mad." Aaron said, moving closer to her and kissing her lightly on the lips. "I think this should prove that."

Chloe blushed and kissed him back, "My way of saying thank you." she whispered

Aaron smiled and kissed her again. "You're welcome." he said.

Chloe smiled softly, and splashed Aaron playfully.

Aaron splashed her back and laughed.

Chloe laughed and swam away.

Aaron swam after her and grabbing on to her legs pulked her into another kiss.

Chloe smiled against the kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Aaron kissed her deeply, tasting the chlorine of the swimming pool water on her lips.

Chloe lost herself in him. Her stepfather never held or cared for her as gentle as Aaron did.

Aaron gently ran his finger across her cheek and held her close. He'd never done this to anyone else before.

Chloe pulled away and laid her head on his shoulder.

Aaron smiled. "Maybe we should get out of the pool before making out anymore." he said.

Chloe giggled and nodded and swam to the edge and pulled herself out.

Aaron swam to the ladder and climbed out of the pool.

Chloe stood up and rang the water out from her long brown hair.

Aaron got out from the pool and shook his head like a dog to get all the water out of it.

Chloe squealed when some of the water splashed her, "We should have brought towels." she smiled

"There will be a lot of towels on the house." Aaron said and grinned. "Sorry."

Chloe kissed his cheek, "It's okay. This was fun."

"Yeah. It was." he agreed quickly.

Chloe smiled, "We should get back."

"Yeah." Aaron picked up his shoes and shook his head one last time. "Just don't drip too much water on the floor." he said. "It's polished."

"I'll clean it up if I drip too much." She said

"No. You don't have to." Aaron said. "We have a maid for that. Usually."
