A World Without Sun discussion

Chloe raised an eyebrow, "You sure. I don't mind." She was used to cleaning up, it didn't bother her.

"I'm sure." he said. "Come on." he opened the door of the house, hoping his parents wouldn't intercept them.

Chloe went to the living room, but got nervous when Lily wasn't there. She heard noises from the dining room and peeked her head in and breathe a sigh of relief, seeing Lily in there coloring next to Aaron's mother.

Aaron looked at his mother and she looked up. "Where were you?" she asked. "Swimming." Aaron said, looking at Lily. "Well, this is a delightful little girl." his mother said with a smile. "Good you brought her here."

Lily looked up and waved happily at Aaron and Chloe. "She helped me color in the lines." she said proud of herself.
"T-that's great, sweetie." Chloe said softly, surprised Aaron's mom even wanted to be around Lily, when she basically ignored Aaron a lot.

"That's great." Aaron said, his hands shaking a little bit. "I'll just-I'll just go and change." he practically ran away from there and into his room.

Chloe watched Aaron go and wanted to go check on him but wanted to get Lily, "What to go upstairs with me?" she asked sweetly.
Lily frowned, "But I wanna stay with Aaron's mama."

"Let her stay here." Aaron's mother said with a smile. "I'll take care of her."
Aaron was in his room. He'd locked the door and was lying flat on his bed with his wet clothes still on. He was not sure whether to cry or not.

"O-okie." Chloe said uncertain, "I'll be back later." she told Lily and went up to what she hoped was Aaron's room and knocked softly, "Aaron?"

"Just go away." Aaron said, his voice muffled because of the pillow. "I don't want to talk to anybody right now."

Chloe hugged herself, "Aaron please." she begged, wanting to help.

"What coukd you say that would help?" he asked, sitting up. "Nothing." he answered it himself.

"I don't know." She admitted, "Aaron please let me in."

Aaron sniffed a little and went to open the door. His nose was red like he'd been crying.

Chloe hugged him and didn't say anything.

Aaron apreciated that. He hugged her back and didn't say a word. He didn't know what to say.

Chloe pulled back to touch his cheek, "Your right, I don't know how to make you feel better, but I'll always be here if you want to talk."

"Thanks." he said with a slight smile. "But I don't want to talk about my parents. I don't know if you'll understand but it....hurts."

Chloe nodded, she kinda did understand but not like Aaron probably wanted her too. "Can I come in?" she asked hoping to distract him.

"Yeah. Sure." he said. "I didn't really not want to see you. I was just upset." he opened the door wider.

Chloe nodded and shivered in her still wet clothes as she looked around and was surprised it was dirty like most boys rooms were.

Aaron noticed her shiver. "Oh. I'm so sorry." he exclaimed. "I completely forgot that we've been swimming." he looked down at his own wet clothes. "We should probably change."

Chloe nodded and went back her room to change.

Aaron quickly changed out of his wet clothes and stood for one quick minute under the shower.

Chloe had finished her shower and outfit before Aaron and went back to his room and sat on his bed, drying her wet brown hair.

"Hey." Aaron said, surprised to see her there before him. He sat down next to her on the bed, not saying anything,

Chloe leaned against him.

Aaron sighed. "You know, you're like the best friend I've had in a long time." he said. "You know everything about me."

Chloe held his hand, running her finger over his knuckles. "Your the kindest person I've ever met." she blushed

Aaron smiled. "Really?" he asked. "Then I guess nibody's ever really been kind to you before, if I'm the kindest person you've met."

"Ya." Chloe said looking down.

Aaron hugged her lightly. "It's okay."

Chloe nodded sadly and jumped when her phone rang. She pulled out of the hug and frowned reading the text message.

"What's wrong?" Aaron quickly got up to see what she was reading.

"My mom wants me come over." She said, her voice unsteady. Her mom never cared about her, she probably wanted to talk about her stepfather. But was that good or bad?

"Your mom?" Aaron's eyebrows rose. "Your real mom?" he felt a little jealous.

"Yea." She nodded

"I'll come with you if you're going to meet her." he said.

"I don't want to meet her." she growled angry.

"Why?" Aaron looked at her strangely, surprised at her anger.

"She never cared about me before." She stood up, "I told her what he did and she called me the slut! Said I forced myself on him!"

"What?" Aaron looked at her, some of her anger brushing of on him. "Your own mother called you a slut?"

Chloe nodded, tears in her eyes.

"Hey, it's okay." Aaron reached out and hugged her tightly. "I know you're not one."

Chloe hugged him back and rested her head on his shoulder, "What am I going to do?" she asked, like he should have all the answers.

"I don't know." he admitted. "But I think you should try and patch up stuff with your mom." he tensed up. little bit, waiting to see how she'd react.

"What if she doesn't want to do that." She asked, her stepfather could be making her to do this or she could just want to yell at her more.

"I'd bet she won't miss a chance to patch up with her daughter." Aaron said. "She can't be that bad."

Chloe looked down and fiddled with her shirt, "You really think that." she whispered

"Yes, I do." Aaron said, looking into her eyes. "And you should try and believe that too."
