Aaron smiled "Okay. That IS pretty stupid."

Chloe giggled and kissed Aaron's cheek and headed to the dining room where she saw Lily and Aaron's mom last.

"Hi." Aaron said to his mom and sge replied with a smile. Aaron grinned at Lilly.

"Aarun!!" Lily cried and ran up to hug him happily.

Aaron hugged her back and ruffled her hair. "Hey, how's it going?"

"Good." she grinned and held up her children's book, "Wanna read?" she asked sweetly. Wanting to read with him like she had been doing with his mom before he came in.

"Okay." Aaron agreed. "Let's read this thing." he picked up the bookbfrom her hand and rifled through the pages, walking over to the table.

Lily crawled up in the seat next to Aaron and frowned seeing his mom getting up, "Your not staying?" she asked sadly.

"No, dear." Aaron's mom smiled at her. "I've got some work to do." "Work or you can't stand being around me." Aaron commented.

Lily shook her head, "Nuh uh. She luve you. She said so." Lile defended

"Whatever." Aaron said "Let's just read this book." he completely ignored his mother who'd walked out of the room without another word.

"That mean." Lily told him.

Aaron looked at her in surprise. "Why?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"She said she got to work and you got mad." Lily said

"Yeah." Aaron said. "I did but so what? She never even talks to me anymore."

"She talks about you." the little girl said

"She talked about me to you?" Aaron asked. "What did she say?"

"That you were a cute little boy." Lily giggled

"Oookay." Aaon did not know what to say. "Anything else?"

"I saw baby pictures!"

"Cool." Aaron said. "But you know what kid? That doesn't mean anything. She never talks to me!"

Lily frowned, "But she's still here."

"Where?" Aaron looked around.

"No." Lily shook her head, "Here like you see her everyday." She looked down at the book, "I don't see my daddy." she said sadly.

Aaron looked at her with a sudden feeling of sympathy. "Hey, it's okay Lilly." he said. "Your daddy's just...busy that's all." he looked towards Chloe for help.

Chloe shook her head and went up her room. She wasn't ready to deal with the whole 'daddy' thing yet.

"It's okay Lilky." Aaron repeated. "You'll see your daddy soon." He rolled his eyes in Chloe's direction. No help coming from there anyway.

Lily nodded sadly and went back to the book.

"You know what?" Aaron said. "While you're here, my daddy can be your daddy."

"Really?" Lily asked, looking up at him.

"Yeah." Aaron said shrugging. "He's not a really great daddy and all but he'll probably like you."

Lily hugged Aaron, "Thank you."

"No problem." he said grinning at her. "Happy now?"

"Yup." She smiled and picked up the book for Aaron.

"You go talk to him first chance you get." Aaron said.

Lily nodded, "Okie. Read?"

"Okay." Aaron picked up the book and started reading out to her, slowly pointing out the pictures as he read.

Lily smiled and eventually fell asleep in Aaron's lap.

Aaron smiled and gently picked her up to carry her to the room. He went upstairs and knocked on the door of Chloe's room.

Chloe peeked her head out, her eyes red from crying. She saw Lily gently took her from Aaron without a word.

"What's wrong." Aaron asked her gently before she could close the door. "Everything okay?"

Chloe nodded, "Just a bad dream." she said softly.

"Are you sure it's not something else?" he asked quietly.

She nodded, "Im fine."

"You can tell me you know." he said. "Anybody can tell you've been crying."

Chloe shook her head, shivering. "Just nightmares. Scary ones." she said and took Lily inside leaving the door open.

Aaron walked inside after her. "You want to talk about them?" he asked. "It might help."

Chloe bit her lip and tucked Lily in the bed and sat on the floor, "I really dont want to."

"Okay." Aaron said. "That's...fine. You want me to go?"

"No." She said and hugged herself, "C-can you stay? Until I fall back asleep?" she begged
