A World Without Sun discussion

"Okay. I'll stay." he nodded and then smiled. "Want me to sing you lullabys or something while I'm at it?"

Chloe giggled and leaned against him, "Whatever you prefer."

"I'd prefer not to." he put his arm around her and moved closer to her. "I'm told my singing voice is pretty bad."

Chloe closed her eyes, "You can always tell me a story."

"I don't know any good ones." he said "Unless you want to hear what I was reading out to Lilly."

"Anythings good." she yawned

Aaron started relating the story about the shy garden faeries and grinned. It was so meaningless to him.

Chloe start dozing off but fought to stay awake. "Then what?" she yawned

"You're not asleep?" he said. "Okay then, the garden faeries returned to their giant mushroom home and lived happily ever after." he grinned. "I think it would have been a better ending if the troll killed them."

Chloe giggled and curled up against him asleep.

"Good night."' Aaron whispered, slowly starting to get up.

Chloe shook her head, half asleep, "No, please." she begged softly

"Okay. I'll stay." he said sitting back down again. "I'll make sure you don't get nightmares."

Chloe smiled softly and rest her head in his lap.

Aaron sat there, leaning against the bedrest and closed his eyes himself.

Chloe eventually fell asleep .

Aaron fell asleep too, his head falling to the side.

Chloe blinked her eyes open the next day, happy she had had no nightmares this time. She looked up and blushed seeing Aaron still there.

Aaron slowly stirred when he felt Chloe move. "Hey." he smiled down at her. "No nightmares this time?"

"No." Chloe smiled back, "Thanks."

"No problem." Aaron said cracking his neck.

Chloe sat up, "How was your sleep?"

"Good, except that I think I pulled a neck muscle." he said. "What about yours?"

"Good." she said and felt bad for making him sleep uncomfortably. She scooted over, "y-you can lay down." she offered

"No. I'm fine." he said realising what she was thinking, "And seriously. It's no problem."

Chloe nodded and looked at the time, "I have to go to work soon." she sighed

"Oh." Aaron said remembering. He smiled. "Then I guess I'll go to school today."

Chloe smirked, "I thought the Great Aaron doesn't do school."

"I don't go to school SOMETIMES." he said "And I do go sometimes. No big deal."

Chloe giggled, "Can you take Lily to school for me?"

"Sure." he said. "Let's see how she likes school."

Chloe stuck her tongue out at him. Got her uniform and wen to the shower.

"I'll go and get ready." he called out and went to his own room to get dressed. He came back five minutes later wearing the clothes he was going to wear for school.

Chloe was wearing her uniform helping Lily get dressed. Lily went over to Aaron, "We go to school!"

"Yeah!" Aaron said. "I bet you'll enjoy it." he smiled at her.

Lily nodded and grabbed his hand, bouncing excitedly.

"How long has she been going to school?" Aaron asked.

Chloe shrugged pulling on her coat, "A week." she shrugged

"That's why she seems so excited." he made a face.

Chloe rolled her eyes and kissed his cheek and headed downstairs.
"Lets go." Lily smiled

"Yeah. Let's go." Aaron said much less enthusiastically.

Lily held his hand as they went downstairs, "You not happy?"

"I don't like school much." Aaron said. He didn't tell her that he usually skipped it.

"Why not?" Lily asked

"Just...Never mind." Aaron said. "Let's get YOU to school."

"Okie." she smiled.
Chloe came over and kissed Lily's cheek, "Be good for Aaron okay."
Lily nodded, "Okie mommy."
Chloe smiled and hugged Lily then Aaron, "Take her to school and don't ditch." she whispered

"I wasn't going to ditch." he said. "I'm actually going to school today. You reformed me." he smiled. "I'll see you later." and walked out of the door holding Lily's hand.
