It seems that we don't have much to rant or complain about no days.

Other then I have to wait a few more months for the new Irving book and Oh November 3rd is the final book in the Eye of the World. Seems like I will have to wait forever!

Barbara Vazquez I have a reason to complain: George R. R. Martin is taking for ever to finish A Dance With Dragons, the fifth book of the A Song of Ice And Fire series. And he is posting in his blog about all the trips he's taking, all the signings he's attending, all the TV shows he's watching, but not a word about his writing a single word. Bad, George R.R. Martin, bad!

Oh, sorry guys. The laptop's fixed now, but thanks for the input and help :D

~~~
Emilee, Barbara, the waiting game... I suppose we shouldn't rush genius! If I wereyou I'd busy myself with re-reads. Barbara, if I were you I'd re-read the other four. Or write really really angry emails to the author???
Barbara Vazquez Lauren, the guy seems to be immune to flame-mail. He's pushed back the release date about four times--the original one being in 2007.
And there's supposed to be two more books after that one! Everybody is complaining that he's going to pull a Robert Jordan on us, but he couldn't care less.
Julie Maioriello Horner (jewelsmm) I need to find more hours in the day to read!! Or, I need to figure out a way how to get paid to read! There are too many books and not enough time!!!!
Barbara Vazquez Julie, a few weeks ago they did a piece on the news about this kid who had read 100 books during the school year, and got a prize for it. So, they were interviewing the boy, and the reporter asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. The boy said: "I want to be a janitor". The reporter was shocked to hear this, so the boy explained: "That way I'll have a lot of time to read!"
10 years old and he knew how to achieve happiness!
Petra X (petra-x) 1. Spoke to Mum, two sentences, could hardly understand her then she wanted the nurse to hang up the phone for her as she didn't know how. My mother who represented her country in Bridge last Dec. has come to this. They say its only a few weeks now as the cancer is almost certainly in her brain, unless her agitation causes a heart attack.
2. My cousin who has schleroderma and had two operations for ovarian cancer last Nov. is clear of cancer but has worrying bone scans.
3. My first ex husband's mother-in-law has bone cancer. His niece (my niece) has a 3.5 yr old son, has cancer and is being treated by an experimental drug.
4. My SIL's daughter doesn't have Cushing's disease but does have polycystic disease and is being recommended a permanent gastric bypass as she is so fat and unlikely to keep it off any other way. This is because my SIL, an ex-anorexic who thinks anything but thinness is disgusting, tells the doctors' that the girl can't lose weight no matter what. She doesn't tell her that she eats enough for three at least three times a day and sits on the sofa with the remote control from breakfast to night-time unless she has to move for something which will inevitably mean a trip to Subway or a family-size bar of chocolate. She's more than a 100lb overweight for true, but its not from disease.
I slept half the day, so depressed, took the truck in to be fixed - muffler gone, problems with radiator, washed the car and ate the rest of it. Trying to wrok out how to pay the lawyer for sueing my ex for non-payment of child support. No-one needs to comment on this. I just wanted to write it down.
Oh god, Petra, that is so awful. It makes our troubles look so petty. Obviously there is nothing I can say over the web to console you - how you are feeling I cannot even begin to comprehend. I hope it helps the slightest, tiniest bit to know that you have my--however useless--support.
x
