Easy As...1-2-3! December Monthly Mini-Challenge
From: December 1st-31st 2013



This challenge is an ongoing monthly mini-challenge to keep us all motivated to start, (and then continue), some of the many series in our TBR.

Rules:
1) You must read one of each; a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd book in a series.
2) Any genre of series is acceptable.
3) 'Half-step' short-stories (i.e., shorts in anthologies), do not count.
**For uniformity, the numbering on GR will be the judge of this.**
4) Rereads do count.
5) No more than 2 of the 3 books each month can be from the same series.

I didn't do so hot in November so I'm going for an easy one this month.

sorry for the dumb question Jenne, is it really 1, 2, 3 or is it just hat they be consecutive? (like would 4, 5, 6 or 2, 3, 4 work just as well?)

Technically for this challenge it needs to be 1, 2, 3. If you wanted to do another combination "Ducks in a Row" is the place for you :)

I don't think I'm going to be able to complete this one this month :( the Christmas holiday craziness has cut my reading time and even though I've managed to finish about 11 books, most of them are all first ones in series. Sorry. I'll try again next month when the holidays are over. Have a wonderful Christmas holiday everyone!

why is book 3 so hard to get to?

Because most of the series that I have to read I have to start so that's why I have read so many "first books" this month. And of course I don't have enough time to get through them. But I'm trying to work something out and I might be able to get a #3 book even if it's a reread of one that I love :)

Good question, but book 3 is always the sticking point for me too!

Okay, now I'm done :)

I'm having trouble with a second this month. Many firsts, and only one third.

However, next month I'm starting to work on series so should have more than just firsts next time.

I have made peace with the fact that I will lack one #3. But 8 of 9 is okay:D

That was my problem as well. A month chock full of 1s. I managed to read about 14 or so but between novellas and 1s I wasn't able to do more than 1 set this month. Oh well, I guess we'll try for better in January LOL!
