I still have so many books I want to read that I'm not anticipating any in particular to add to the pile. Last year gave us great books. I just hope next crop will be as good if not better.
The only book I can think of that I'm curious to read is yours. ;)

Mark Bordner Please don't think me arrogant, but I'm excited for the release of my book, as it's my first ever to get published.

Yay. That's super exciting.
I'd be excited about mine, too, if I'd finished it! Gah! @ slow creative processes.

I'm looking forward to the 3rd book in Brent Weeks' Lightbringer series and the first book in Joe Abercrobie's YA series, "Half A King". Other than that, always looking for a new favourite.

My Viking is a huge fan of Abercrobie. He was so happy when I sent him one (can't rmember which one now) that was released in England way before the rest of Europe :3

I don't think this is arrogant to be honest, and here's why: If you're like me, this story "came to you" from some part of your subconscious. The experience is that of receiving it from outside yourself, and when you "see" it for the first time, you experience is that of a new reader. I know for myself, I have all the joys and sorrows when I "see" the stories in my head, the same as I would if I were a reader. So yeah, I look forward to my own book because I'm just as excited about it as I am about any book I read. Plus there's the double joy of being able to share it with readers and give them the same thrill.

So yep, I totally get that, and it's why I'm looking forward to final volume in my own current trilogy too!

City of Heavenly Fire. Sooo excited ^^ I got hooked on the Mortal Instruments series earlier this year. I just want it to be over with already lol

Mark Bordner Thank you J. and Deb. I wish success to you all in your endeavors. On another note regarding the thread, I'm also looking forward to rumors of a sequel to Independance Day, I hope that it gets a novel adaptation. The books are often better than the movies.
