Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19206 comments Another vote for Windup Girl. I think it was my first Group read in YLTO. I think Dec 2012? The thread should still be floating around somewhere.

message 10: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Talking of Windup, The Wind-up Bird Chronicles seems to be appearing on quite a number of peoples lists for next year - I may well be tempted to get it and add it to mine too.

Naomi (nchigh) | 707 comments Figured out up to Buzz. Infinite possibilities left...

message 13: by Jess :) (new)

Jess :) | 248 comments I have been wanting to read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle too! So far I have not been creative enough to pull it into my list. I might need to revise. :)

Ooh. Perhaps if there is enough interest we could try to work this into a monthly read or side read?

message 14: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments House of Leaves is insane! It's the book I'm 'most proud' of reading. You've got some great lines of thought there Naomi!

message 15: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59911 comments I have House of Leaves sitting on my bookshelf. I may have to read it for this challenge too.

message 16: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (lisathebooklover) | 9244 comments I was tempted to include House of Leaves amongst my choices but chickened out! I really want to read it but it sounds crazy!

Great list of books Naomi!

message 17: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59911 comments I bought it a couple of years ago and have been procrastinating.

message 18: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) | 2478 comments Even though it was a marathon, I was really really glad I read it. It's very overwhelming at the beginning, but once I got going I couldn't stop reading - I had to know what he would throw in next!

message 22: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Great list of titles!
Most I recognize.

I read The Starship Troopers way too many years ago but still remember parts!

I see we will both be reading Scarlet and Cress. Although I only have Cress on one of my lists, I still need to read Scarlet first.

message 23: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I liked the Wind Up Girl very much and The Strawberry Girl was cute.

message 24: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (nchigh) | 707 comments Finished Slick's Slugs. And man do I feel like I am moving like a slug. Not reading much so far this year. 8 books behind my goal and lots of books behind compared to end of last April. Had to give up on House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski House of Leaves for right now. Just not capturing my interest and requiring too much concentration.

message 25: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Congratulations on finishing Slick's! I am almost there. :). What was a your favorite?

message 26: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59911 comments Congrats. I have House of Leaves, but not on any of my challenge lists yet. I'm a little intimidated by it.
