My name is John, from Boston (always home) but in Detroit for 26 years. Retired FBI Special Agent. Posted my own group for writers wanting/needing background on procedures for Feds, as well as local law enforcement. CRIMEWRITER HOW TO.

Partial to sub genre of Capers (the late Elmore Leonard, Lawrence Block are my favs). As Block called them, "not whodunnit but howcatchem." I think it lends itself to deeper character development and more complex characters. Look forward to book recommendations and chats.
