Alessia (allieonthemoon) | 157 comments Can anyone tell me what is meant by "Ancient" in the historical monopoly? Which period in history would qualify as ancient for this challenge??

Ancient is like The Odyssey or any other book that is around this time/ Basically books before Medieval times. If you need any more examples let me know!

Alessia (allieonthemoon) | 157 comments Thanks a lot Adriana!
Oh, Gosh! I really hope I don't have to read the Odissey again!I had to study it in school and it was more than enough.
Has it got to be fiction? Or would a book about ancient times qualify?

Actually, I think I've found the perfect book. It's a novel about the Amazons and it sounds truly intriguing : The Lost Sisterhood

Cool! I like how The Amazons history is interwoven with a present day professor. You can interpret each theme your way as long as it fits somewhat into the monopoly.

I liked the Odyssey! I guess I just have a thing for Greek myth.

Megan (endlesstbr) I'm in for all eight, except what's "space opera"? I don't read much science fiction, but if we get the whole year, I'm sure I'll find something to fit each category!

@Daphne: That's exactly what I was planning on re-reading :) I loved the first three books but never got round to finishing it.

Yes! I'm planning to read the same for that category (:

@Alessia - Ooh! Thanks for the list. There are a lot of YA books that are considered space opera too if you want to look into that.
