If you're secretly in denial, so am I! (view spoiler) was devastating...but even though I wish (view spoiler) I'm Team Chaol and really want him and Celaena to get together.

Him coming back to life might put a bit of a damper on that!

Anum | 61 comments OMG!! i just finished reading the book.. and really hated what Arobynn has done to her...such a jerk he is..he just played with her emotions...
i hope Calaena gets her revenge... i really felt bad for her when she found out Sam died....

I stalled reading this novella for a MONTH. And then I read it. And I cried. A lot.

Alexis (TigeroftheTowerGuard) | 356 comments Death would be too good for Arobynn Hamel. He is in love with him self. He deserves the plight that he himself hath wrought on Celaena, Coward that he is.

Lora | 10 comments okay... I'm rereading the series in prep for Queen of Shadows coming out in September - at least that's the excuse I'm going with currently :) - and have just crawled my way through The Assassin's Blade still hoping the inevitable doesn't happen. There's a line in The Assassin and the Empire that bugs me.... When Farran has Celaena and is revealing his evil plan to her, three guards come in to take her away. The exact quote is "Not petty guards. She'd seen those three men before. Somewhere - at some point she couldn't quite recall..."
Does anyone have any ideas where she'd seen them before? At first I thought they were the three guards who'd escorted Dorian to the party in The Assassin and the Empire but in prison she over hears that Chaol and Dorian are on the coast so I don't think it's them but it's bugging me.

Giada when Celeana pay his debt to Arobynn in the third Novella, as she left his office she saw three men.. I think they are the same. Arobynn was yet planing his revenge against Sam and Celeana

Lora | 10 comments Ahh thanks, just read that passage and i think it fits... Arobynn had better meet his maker in Queen of Shadows

kayla (kayreadsbooks) | 11 comments i knew it was coming at the end of the novella i just couldn't accept the fact that it was going to happen. this took me the whole day to read and i cried at the end because how could you not

this reply is late but i think its the guards that escorted dorian to the party. i think this novella takes place maybe a couple weeks before the assassin and the empire because in the assassin and the empire havent they been living in the apartment for a little. so I'm assuming that its before so i think it was the guards at the party who escorted dorian. i literally figured out it was dorian when they mentioned the eye color

Lola (evielola) | 10 comments Ahhh, rereading the prequels and I just can't bring myself to read any further in this one. It's too emotionally trying. :'(

Katrina | 3 comments Why doesn't Celaena tell Sam she loves him? He tells her several times but she never says it back.

lorena | 56 comments ahhh even though I know Sam will die I still cried for hours:(

I miss Sam!! Arobynn was a bastard. "I don't like to share my things." Celaena/Aelin, is not a thing. The fact that he killed Sam because Celaena/Aelin chose Sam is a bastard move and I am glad he is dead.
