Hello all,
I published In Times Like These in September and ran a promotion in November for it. Perhaps some of you may have entered. I hope to eventually nominate the book as a book club read as well, but until that future date I'd love to have a place to discuss it and hear reader feedback.

The basic premise is that a group of friends are involuntarily displaced to the past and need to find their way home by learning the science of time travel. But they're not the only persons displaced and their path home may not be as straight as they hoped. They find themselves introduced to a wider world of time travelers, not all of whom want to see them succeed. One in particular just wants them dead.

This book is the first of a series, but stands alone on its own as a story. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Amazon reviewers have had some nice things to say about it if you would like to check out some reviews.

Nathan,

What time period does your book involve? I am usually attracted to a time travel book because of specific time period or historical event. Also, does your protagonists get blown around in history ala quantum leap or are they stranded in the one place you put them?

The time traveling is mostly local. The past 25 years or so. The second in the series gets very broad and historical however. You'll probably really enjoy that one when I get it finished. Neither story is fixed in one time however. I didn't just want to write a there and back again tale. I wanted to introduce a method of time travel that was practical and able to be used for all manner of problems. Getting unstranded and navigating their way through time is one main concern for the characters, but by no means the only stress.

Thanks Cheryl. It was a lot of fun to design. A couple of the items helped inspire parts of the story so it was cool getting to include them in the cover photo. Hopefully people will reach those pages and then be able able to look at the cover and go "Oh, that's what that is!"
