Loving What Is
question
Does doing The Work work?

It only works, as Katie points out, if you write down the questions and the answers. Why is this so?
Can you do it yourself without someone asking you the questions?
I've seen Katie do it with people, and it is so dramatic. Can it be that way with ourselves?

It is very powerful. And once you get the hang of the process, you can go straight to the turnaround. The questions soften you up, but the turnaround is where the real power of The Work lies.
I also agree! The work works! It is amazing how transformational it is.
It absolutely works. It's a revolutionary shift in thinking and understanding. You don't need another person and you don't need to write it down. You just need to examine your own perceptions and beliefs. Very powerful!
Don't know if you really need another person to do the work with, but you definitely need to dig deep and be directly honest with yourself. Stop bullshitting yourself. Stop being a victim and take response-ability.
Linda, the reason Byron Katie suggests writing it down is to pin down your mind / thought that you're working out on paper. If we don't do this, our wily mind is always trying to change the story, the statement, tries to reword it, or explain it away. If you write it down, you will always go back to working on that particular statement that the mind made / thought at a particular time. I hope this helps?
