I write horror that can occasionally veer off into fantasy, drama, legends and sometimes a little romance. I tend to prefer the label gothic horror because the focus is more toward emotional or imagery based storytelling.

I write horror and suspense, usually with a Southern twang and more often than not with a hint of pitch-black humor (my publisher has called my latest novel, UGLY AS SIN, "white trash noir" if that gives you a feel for what I'm doing :)

I recently had an issue with a fellow author on the whole Like for a Like thing. (Granted, she is a writer of memoir/legal thrillers and is easily 6 months from publishing anything from what I saw on her pages, while I'm a horror/sci-fi author with two published books under my shirt.)

Basically, I've heard from people with more experience than I on the subject that it doesn't work, people like your pages, then block your posts, etc. etc. Now, all that being said, a lot of us that are here in this group already share a major point of interest (that being horror), and my recent confrontation has made me curious about whether authors liking each other's pages actually leads to anything. So, for those interested, here I am.

I mainly focus on horror, and the act and business of writing, though I occasionally throw a little bit of randomness in there too.
