Michelle--I've found Gena's books to be like that--one of them will seriously suck--then the next book in the series will be great. I still haven't figured out WHY she's so spotty with her writing. Now I wait til the book's been out for a while, talk to a few friends, read the reviews on Amazon and only THEN decide if I want to buy it or hope that my local library has a copy at one of the various (there are about 10) branches. I'd check libraries and friends for the rest of the series if I were you.

My reaction to Maddox's story is just so-so, but I enjoyed the second book with Anya and Lucien. Love the cat and mouse game Anya subjected Lucian, too.

I would suggest giving the 2nd book a try before abandoning the series. That is, if you feel like it.

Had a wonderful 2-week vacation, but since most of it was at a family reunion (38 people) my reading was limited to the airflights, so I only finished two books - and neither was for this challenge! No regrets here, tho - if I don't finish this month's challenge, you'll hear no complaints from me. I am making a couple of changes - Singh's Branded by Fire was waiting for me when we got home, so guess I did preorder it after all. Also found a book for #4 and am half-done with it.

I have this book too and I might read it for the challenge as well, I didn't know it fit the category. Then I clicked on the link and thought, oh, it's a different book, nevermind. But then you had the picture of the book with the dragon on it ... It's kind of funny how completely different books can have the same title!

I wouldn't give up just yet. Although Maddox, for me, was great in his book. I will agree that it is the worst of the series so far. Lucian and Reyes' books were much better.

Shannon, this is a great book - I'm loving every page. This book could probably fit at least four of the categories in this challenge! I bought it because of the cover - I love dragons

I liked Cry Wolf, it was just a little slow in the beginning. Like someone on here said, I would recommend reading the short story in the On The Prowl Anthology in order to get some background on Anna and Charles meeting/ relationship. It'll help you have a little patience with Anna. I really like the concept of an Omega wolf too. Just don't pick up this novel expecting a heroine that mirror's Mercy in any way; Anna is just as likeable in my opinion. I can't wait until the next Alpha and Omega novel comes out. I hope to get more into some of the other characters as well.

It's been a BUSY week, and next week won't be any less so. But I did get one book read. MARKED BY MOONLIGHT is one of those werewolf books where the weres are pretty much totally ebil and no good. (which is not my favorite werewolf trope) The hero spends the whole book trying to save the girl so he doesn't have to kill her.
