A World Without Sun discussion

Aaron got a pair of skates too and put them on quickly.

She put her skates on and stood up shakily, "How do I do this?"

Aaron held her hand. "Just follow my lead." he said, confident on his own skates.

"Okay." she squeezed his hand.

Aaron started skating forward, naturally creating a rhythm with his legs.

Chloe followed, not a smooth as Aaron but at least she wasn't falling.

Aaron turned around and smiled at Chloe.

"This fun.Scary but fun." she laughed.

"It's not scary once you get used to it." Aaron said. "It's just fun."

"Well I'm still in the middle." she smiled

"Want to go faster?" Aaron asked, taking longer strides.

"If I fall Aaron I'll sue you." she joked.

"You won't fall." he said, laughing "And I don't think that's worth suing me for."

Scarlet walked in the skating rink, her red hair flashing. She looked around, and tucked her curled hair behind her ear.

Emerald looked at the skating rink. The ice was slick, smooth, and very slippery. She slowly walked onto the ice.

Scar tied her shoes up, and wobbled out onto the ice. Once there, her legs stopped shaking, and her balance back.

Emerald took a deep breath and began to move around. She was always better once she was moving

Scarlet slid around the ice, feeling free. She looked around, seeing a girl named... Emerald?

Emerald twirled slightly, smiling at the fresh air that swept her hair around her.

Scar skated over to the familiar girl, throwing in a spin here and there. "Emerald, right?" she stated, more for affirmation than a question.

"Yes." She said seeing the girl slightly, though she was a bit dizzy for then spin

Scar smiled, skidding to a stop, and turning next to the girl.

"So um....Scarlet? Right?" She asked. She was terrible with names

"Or Scar, or Tiger..." she said, rolling her eyes at her many nicknames.

"Ahh....lots of nicknames, no?" She asked and smiled

"Haha, yes!" Scar said, laughing.

She smiled brighter

Scarlet didn't know what to say, so she just felt awkward as they skated. She never was much of a talker.

"So...you like to skate?" She asked

"Its always worth sueing." she giggled

"No it's not." he said, taking a sharp turn and nearly making both of them fall over.

"Hey!" she said and grabbed his hand to keep herself steady.

He laughed. "You should have been paying attention." he skated faster, holding on reassuringly to her hand.

"You should be kinder to the newbie." she said

"The newbie should relax because I'm not going to let her fall." he replied.

"Okay okay." she nodded.

Aaron skated around the rink one more time, holding Chloe's hand and then stopped at the end. "Tired yet?" he asked.

"Very." she nodded and sat on the edge of the rink, "THis is fun though."

"I know." he said. "I used to skate a lot before."

"You should get back to it." Chloe smiled.

"Kind of lost interest." he smiled. "But now I realized it's fun again."

"You'll have more fun when your not pulling a klutz like me." she joked

"You're not a klutz." he said. "It was pretty good for your first time actually."

Lana looked around and spotted one of her friends. Thankfully, that was the only one she knew.

Thomas didn't bother to look around. He looked at her, "what size are your feet?"

She blushed. "Seven in Women's."

He nodded and went to get skates. He came back and handed hers to her, then put his on.
