Skating Rink
She shrugged and decided to try and make him jealous. "I suppose you could call him that..."
She got up, and slowly followed, confused. She skated gracefully and even did a few jumps to get used to the ice again. She eventually caught up to Thomas. "What was that about?"
He looked at her, "jealousy is a hell of an emotion to try and play with," he winked then skated faster to challenge her.
Lana huffed and sped up easily. "Never challenge an ex-figure skater."
She sighed and sped up with him. "We're going to end up in trouble," she pointed out.
Thomas shrugged, "as long as I'm with you, I don't care," he slowed down though, she clearly cared.
Lana blushed and looked away from him, slowing down carefully.
"Thomas? Do you really think I'm a brat?" she asked.
Thomas looked at her and shrugged, "you can be. But your a cute brat," he said jokingly. He didn't think she was a brat. She could just be bratty some times.
She blushed again. "...Okay. What do you do for fun?" she asked.
He shrugged, "I'm a hand to hand combat pro. I train some of the younger rebels. I also write poetry and skate."
"You write poetry? You?" Lana said, astonished.
"Hang out with my friends, hang around HQ, walk around," she mumbled. She didn't have anything as interesting as him, and she wasn't going to tell him that she preferred to hang out in bakeries and cafés to eat.
She nodded. "I used to do more, but..."
Lana tried not to blush as he held her hand. "Can we get hot chocolate?"
He nodded, "of course," he led her off the ice and they walked awkwardly, because of the skates, over to a hot drink stand.
She smiled and get hot chocolate.
She went to a bench and sat down. "Thanks."
Lana drank her hot chocolate and watched him out of the corner of her eye.
She finished and tossed her cup into the trash can.
She shrugged. "More skating I suppose."
She smiled and took off the second she got on the ice.
Lana sped up and did a few jumps.
Lana skated back to him, grinning. "I missed doing that."
She moved next to him. "I stopped coming here when it was decided that I'd be part of the mission. I didn't want the people here judging me too. Thanks for bringing me back," she said.
She smiled at him. "So, you play hockey?"
Lana nodded. "Oh. That must have sucked."
She nodded slowly. "I suppose. Do you think... Do you think I should tell my dad? Everything?" she asked.
"What's up Lana?" he asked.
Lana smiled at him. "Hi Ash," she said, then looked over at Thomas.
Ash nodded, waved and left.
