I'm going to be posting chapters of my book on YouTube, with me reading them.

Do you think anyone would listen? Have you read chapters of your books online and gotten any feedback?

Would books read online be something you would listen to?

I'd be too shy to do that. As far as audio books and such, never tried that, either.

I don't know if I'd listen to a book. I often think it would be a good compromise when you can't physically read but else, I like to 'savor' a book. I like to be able to stop after a certain sentence to depict a scene in my head. I don't think I'd enjoy a book as much if it were read to me.

The funny thing is that I don't remember anyone reading me books as a kid either. Even then, I preferred doing it myself.

Not long ago I beta read for someone, and later on, he posted a chapter narrated by him on his blog. Although he read it well, it's still not the exact voice I had in mind when I read the story. It didn't have the same feel to it. It's hard to explain. :/

That's not to say that I wouldn't try. You have a lively voice. :)

Personally I've never much liked audio books. Not my style. As for doing one myself, although I think I could read it myself, I'd probably prefer to have someone else do it, as I cannot stand to hear my own voice.

Maybe a guy can say the male quotes for you--but I guess that would disrupt the 'flow.' :3 lol
