Option #1: HFU 2013
* Finish up the 2013 degree program

Option #2: HFU 2014
* Some old tasks and some new.....

Sandra Heinzman (vasandra) | 137 comments Yeah, I love option 1 and the 2 and 3 look good, too.

For Readopoly #2, did you mean Jan. 1-Feb. 28, 2014 (you put 2013)?

message 4: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (drokka) | 80 comments I would go for options #2 or #3.

message 5: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Heinzman (vasandra) | 137 comments No matter what, I will be continuing the 2013 HFU challenge in 2014!

It has to be. The time machine isn't up and running yet. ;)

Charlotte (charpie) | -2 comments I wasn't able to do the HFU challenge in 2013, but I really wanted to do it. I'll be able to next year so I'm interested in doing it if we have it again. Changing it a bit might be good for those who have already completed it this year. I'm also interested in option #3.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3120 comments I would like a chance to finish the HFU. I have like 7 books or so left for a BA. I also would like to do the HFU again. Option 3 is good as well as the readopoly.

message 9: by Robyn (new)

Robyn I wasn't able to do HFU in 2013 either due to work and school commitments. I would be very interested in a 2014 edition.

message 10: by Evan (new)

Evan (medieval_geek) I'd like to continue with my HFU 2013 challenge but a 2014 edition would be something I'd have a go at if that was the option chosen - maybe allowing some books read for the 2013 challenge to be carried over for those of us who haven't completed it could be an option? Although I understand if a clean break is chosen.

message 11: by Alicja (new)

Alicja (darkwingduckie7) | 171 comments I like HFU 2014 idea. Having new challenges sounds like fun.

With the HFU 2013, maybe keep it open an extra month or so for any stragglers who are almost done (like me so I'm being selfish there). I know I would be disappointed if not finishing one last book could keep me from the degree I've been working on all year (yup, again being selfish here). :P

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3120 comments You are not selfish because I am almost finished too.

I've got 3 books left for the Masters and each has been started but with the holidays I'm not sure if I'll have the time to finish them. It just feels so close...

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3120 comments I would be happy to finish the BA.

Melanie (ladybugh) | 123 comments Option 2 and Option 3 sound great.

Chris Haught (haughtc) I recently finished my HFU 2013 and would love to do another one for 2014....

Same Theresa! I've read through the details of the HFU and wish I'd been here to start it with everyone else.

message 20: by Kathy (new)

Kathy | 81 comments Option 1 - I would like to finish up my HFU in History for my BA degree. I only have 9 books left.

Options 2 & 3 look good as well.

I would like to play Readopoly, JoLene. I think I am understanding how it will work. Will the game be up and running on the 1st of January?

message 24: by Charmaine (new)

Charmaine (empress_charla) I really hope we can do HFU 2014 :-) I didn't really get to participate in the 2013 one. Option 3 sounds interesting as well!

There will be an HFU 2014, but I am behind in getting it published due to internet issues for the past several weeks.

Stay tuned......

Thanks Jolene!

Sorry, I wasn't hassling you - I appreciate that setting up all the challenges you have in this group must take a lot of time. I'm just really excited :-)

I'm sorry I didn't get it. So, what is the challenge? I mean what are we to do?

Sorry, RL has been crazy and have not out something together. It is on the list of things to do....just hasn't made it to the top.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3120 comments no prob, just curious

message 33: by Laurel (new)

Laurel (goodreadscomboddy_l) | 5 comments I am interested in doing a an HFU degree, but I am concerned about finishing the BA. With a History Major, in the time remaining in the year, given that we are already into June. Are you allowed to carry on into the next year?I noticed that some folks seem to be finishing a degree started in 2013 with 2014 tasks. I also do other challenges so I need to make sure exactly what I am allowed to do. I know that I can count any books that I have read since Jan. 1/14. Thanks for the info, in advance.

@Laurel, this is about challenging yourself. The challenge is meant to be done in 1year, I will not guarantee that I will be validating books in 2015 (since I'm not doing well in 2014 thus far). However the threads will not be deleted so you can continue on our own.

message 35: by Ashley (new)

Ashley (zieglerae) | 9 comments I'd like to do option 2
