We will be reading Men of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong for our July Themed reading

Thanks for the suggestion Julia it's gotten some really good ratings from friends so I'm excited to read this.

(We had a close second with Anansi Boys. I'm still going to read it because it's grabbed my interest.) ;)

The Member's Choice group read will be Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey

Shannon (theholyterror) | 132 comments Oh well, it looks like I won't be participating this month. I'm waiting for Men of the Otherworld to come out in paperback and I haven't read any of the other books in the series yet either. I have to read things in order!

Hope you guys enjoy it though!

Men of the Otherworld is part of a series? I had no idea! Is it part of the Women of the Otherworld? Which #?

I honestly don't know, but I'm assuming it's at least part of the same world. Even if it doesn't matter if you read the others first, I still couldn't start the Men without reading the previous books, I have to read them in published order. I'm obsessive compulsive like that.

Shannon (theholyterror) | 132 comments I just checked her website to try to find out where the Men fall. I also didn't realize that it was an anthology either.

Strangely enough, it actually looks like the Men of the Otherworld stories come before the Women. Even still, it's not in paperback yet so I have to wait.

Julia | 119 comments I've read some of the stories in Men of the Otherworld when they were on Armstrong's website. I recommend Shannon that you read a short story there, just to see if you like her style.

One of the things I like about Kelley Armstrong's books is that all the protagonists aren't necessarily likeable. I had forgotten that this wasn't out in paperback yet. I'll be getting it from the library, myself.

Shannon, I had a friend suggest this series when I mentioned a sincere frustration with the mass obesession with the Stephanie Meyer. I bought and read Bitten the very next day and I have not been let down since!

I've devoured all the books that I could find, except book 7, 8 and 9... I find I am more obessed with the Danvers and the Sorrentinos (werewolves) than I am with any other the other story lines, but things could change...

If you can get your hands on "Men of the Otherworld" read it! It helped me understand the men involved in Bitten and Stolen! Mmmmmmmm

Her books are also writen in such a way that you can start reading which ever book you want, and then as you read the gaps get filled in! ;)

Shannon (theholyterror) | 132 comments Nah, it's ok, I have to read things in order. I own all her books so it's not as if I can't start them, I just haven't yet. (Actually, I have a lot of series that I own that I haven't started yet, check out my shelves! It's kind of embarassing though ...)

But I found a release date for the paperback, so I'll get it when it comes out. I can't always participate in every group read, but I'll live.
